I noticed you sell the "20-9029-00" and "20-9030-00" TYC quad headlights for the 4th gen Ram (2009+). But according to TYC and other sites these are not the same as the 2013 headlights which are "20-9395" and "20-9396". The only difference I can see online is the little shroud that covers the low beam bulb and the newer ones labeled as "Multireflector Type" on TYC's website. I suppose it doesn't matter if I'm retrofitting projectors but I'm just curious if I'm buying the right headlight and what the differences are.

Thanks!

Only a slight difference inside with the bowls and bezel. Exactly what you are seeing.

Fun part? The '13+ aren't even available from TYC yet. They have a number, TYC shows that they were done in......December? But, not ready for sale yet.

Thanks for the reply. I also noticed they are not available yet even though they say they were done in Dec. I was just curious about why they would remake a whole new headlight for what seem like very minor changes. It doesn't seem like a huge difference, especially since I plan to paint them and retrofit HID projectors, I just want to make sure they aren't dramatically or functionally different.

they are just enough to probably have to make them..........when they are doing all NSF certified parts now, visually........different - and when a crash happens and a truck now has mismatched stuff. eek.

The Rams didn't have OEM projectors until 2013, right? I think that explains the "multi-reflector" spec that TYC shows. I think that's TYC's way of saying it's not a projector because it looks like they will (eventually) offer an "OEM style" projector headlight.
