OK, this is what I have...
2012 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie (originally came with quad lights)
OEM 2013 Black Projector Headlights
RetroShop 2013 HID kit with 50w ballast
RetropShop 2013 Projector adapter

Everything was purschased 07/16/2013 and was installed later that week with no problems and no flickering

Well now after letting the truck sit for a month without use... the lights flicker.

They turn on and stay on if the truck is off but once I turn on the truck they begin to flicker.

What are your thoughts

Notes:
-Both lights flicker
-Connections are good
-I installed both resistors that came with the HID kit to see if it would fix anything but nope... previously had one resistor when I installed it and it worked but now doesnt
-I dont remember my HID kit coming with a capicitator as it shows on your website(maybe I have an earlier model)
-My 2013 adapter did not come with resistors like they are shown on your site (again, maybe a earlier model)

the 2012 kit should have came with the capacitor therefore the reason your lights are flickering if you don't have it hooked up

All kits for those go out with a capacitor.........the resistors for the bulb monitoring typically aren't needed though.

Test this please:

truck off, turn lights on. wait 15 seconds, tun lights off. how long before they go off?

please email me - [email protected] - MUCH quicker than forums!

Opened driver door
Turned on lights for 30 seconds

I replied but the email bounced back for some reason.

Here's the response!

The capacitor isn't working. There is a plug where the capacitor plugs into the connection to the light, that needs to be flipped - and the test reran.

Take a look at this video, towards the end it will explain where that is, where to flip.
