I've.............never melted a set of lights.
Hundreds, dare I say even a thousand have been through my oven. The key is obviously temp and time. I've read some people say 350 degrees.........what? you cooking a chicken too?
250 degrees. Hell, I left a light in the oven once for about.....30-40 minutes once (forgot to set my timer.....derr) - came out fine.
Tip - I use a silicone mat. That on a cookie sheet has served me very well over the years, in fact.......I'm using the same exact cookie sheet and silicone mat that I started with. It has one blemish on it......those pesky 2013's have some weird glue in them......some spooged out.......and its a ***** to remove!
