I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Sport with ProComp ProRunner 2.75inch Leveling Struts. I frequently Haul my motorcycle and gear to the track a couple times a month, sometimes in the bed, and sometimes in a trailer. I am looking into getting either the Tuftruck TTC-1210 or TTC-1223V to keep the truck level while hauling. Since the truck sits dead level with the front ProComps any amount of weight I put in the back seems to sag the back end due to the ****** oem coil springs.

I know these were talked about before but the thread was a little older, and I was curious to hear from the guys who have been using these a bit!

Thanks,

Nick

Get air bags and save some money. For 100$ and an hr of your time you'd be done with it.

Honestly if I had made up my mind on what I was gonna do towing sooner I wouldn't have bought them. I just think for that kind of weight bags would suffice.

I just worry that like everything else I would be underestimating what I will doing, ie taking more bikes and a trailer. That for the extra money on at least 25% tuftruck springs I would be ok with hauling more, and not having to constantly upgrade some kind of suspension component.

I have the 1223V's and am glad I went that route. I tow a 27' TT, around 6500 lbs. Had to re-adjust my WD hitch to get the trailer level again, was nose hgh after i added the springs, and it really didn't stiffen the ride that much. For me, it was worth not having to play around with air bags., hook up and go

keep in mind springs may raise the rear end. 50% ones will go up 4" I think

Keep closer to level @ 5psi since you already dropped the coin on yer 2.75's. Depends on how often you haul and yer budget, I reckon.

I end up hauling more than the motorcycle a couple time a month. It's not uncommon for me to haul lumber, and other building materials during my side jobs. I'd say that the springs are within my budget, most important would be doing the job right and something that will last. Not necessarily what's cheapest.

Get the springs and be done with it. Putting a cycle in the back and towing, you don't want to deal with bags. I ditched the bags and have the 50%.

Today - and I have 2.8 blistens up front.

looks good, would you recommend swapping out shocks with the 50%? How much did they lift your back end? How is the ride without a load?

I have 50% because I'm always loaded. Either with trailer tongue weight or the generator + gas + water + 2 kids & wife. I swapped shocks at all 4 corners. And the ride isn't much different over stock. A little harsher over potholes or speed bumps.

The 25% variables might work better for you. Bags are a hassle in my opinion, they keep the coil from compressing and make the ride harsh under load. This was my experience.

How it rides is subjective. What might be harsh to you might be fine to me.

I only experienced 2 inches in the back.

I just found part# TTC-1211 that will give that 50% increase in capacity while keeping the rear as close to stock as possible. Any thoughts on these? I know I am a little behind the curve as far as this stuff lol.

Who did you order them from? I cannot seem to find them anywhere but the tough truck website.

If your truck is a daily driver, changing the springs to anything but the variable rate TTC will affect your ride quality.
For a DD, airbags are honestly the best choice to keep the ride and reduce sag, for under $100 and an easy installation.
I had Timbrens. For our application they replace the factory bumpstops. If you hit (engage) them, they are VERY hard, and it can cause jounce. We rode on ours fully engaged while towing and the ride was BRUTAL. I took them off after that 1 trip.

If you do anything else with the truck, the springs might be a good choice; it's up to you and how you use the truck.
