thats what i thought.. and i dont want to paint the pillars and have a gaudy tan belt hanger on a grey pillar.

My uncles Mega is wierd...at least to me it is...he has the wood grain on the dash bezel, but stainless on the doors.

That looks pretty good. I've been thinking of getting rid of my wood grain too.

can't pop 'em off, they are plastic welded on.

Well........you can, you just have to heat up behind them and pop the "weld".

yes i drilled the plastic welds out, but dodge seemed to know people would tear this piece off and there is two holes for screws to reassemble the piece back onto the door panel.

it does look pretty close... did u use a textured finish?


ya! it was alot eaiser than taping it off! once its out just run to the parts store and grab some short fat screws and some washers and boom! done!:D

i want to paint these entire pieces.. but id get paint all over the seatbelt... now im thinking the seatbelt itself would wear out the paint pretty quick, but maybe a couple good coats of clear would take care of that?

couldnt you find a wrecked truck with the gray and just swap it out? I mean it still wouldnt be as dark as what you are painting but it would be better then tan...

so they did make them in grey? i wouldnt mind the color not matching but how would i get the seat belt through the little slot, or would i need to get the whole seat belt assembly and everything?

..the search begins!
