Replace Headliner Fabric with bedliner?

So, my headliner is sadly drooping down and I was wondering, is it possible to remove the fabric, glue, and other materials from the board and just coat it with bedliner or something similar?

Yeah you can. Will prob look cheap and ****** in my opinion but you can. Will have to scrape all the foam off.

Buddy of mine has a regular cab and he used some ostrich skin leather fabric he found and redid all that. Looks absolutely awesome. I'll post pics if you're interested.

As much as I don't like to admit it, I have had several "Oh Sh*t" moments where my head has banged hard against the headliner. The foam material cushen the hit a lot, can't imagine if it was just bedliner. Ouch lol

He has since then redone the overhead console and was adding a mopar M to it as well.. my buddy Shawn is doing all that work himself
