So I have a 2013 ram which I've heard isn't as picky as the newer rams when it comes to its canbus system?

Anyway I picked up these lights off Amazon figuring if they didn't work, I'd just return them:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LCE1AY2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are advertised to work with canbus systems.

I installed the passenger side bulb first, tested it and everything seemed to work fine and no errors came up. Moved on to the driver side and now I'm getting the "highlight out" error. It only comes up when I first turn the truck on and then goes off within a few seconds? Does the error typically stay on when people get it?

I don't notice any flickering going on and the lights themselves seem to work great...

Any suggestions?

Well when you buy something off Amazon or eBay and one of the pictures is this:

Seriously... what did you expect?

But yea you most likely need a set of error-canceling capacitors. Depending on the plug or plugs on your led lights, an HID error canceling kit might work if the plugs match... not sure on that though. Best thing would be to return them and either order the GTR Gen 4 LED's from Headlight Revolution (.com) that are specifically wired and built for the 09+ Rams or order the Opt-7 FluxBeam or FluxBeam X bulbs that others have said work on the Rams. I myself have a set of the Opt-7 FluxBeam X LED H11's being delivered today so once i install them I can let you know how they work, but from what others on this forum have said, and a couple YouTube videos I've seen, they fit and work perfect so I have my fingers crossed!!

Do you have the FluxBeam bulbs or the newly released FluxBeam X bulbs? Just wondering because I just got the new FluxBeam-X Bulbs that just came out at the end of November. I'm about to put them in tomorrow... too cold today!

What light housing do you have? Duals, Quads or Projectors. I want to know what light housing you have so I know that the Opt-7 wiring and attachments will fit inside the housing on the high beam side. I have not heard of any other Ram owner with the Quad style lights that has put in the Opt-7 bulbs in the high beams, so I don't want to order a pair of bulbs and have them not fit. Lemme know... thanks.

Edit: I meant Quad lights, not Duals... had to fix it.

I have quads and I modified the dust cover so it would still close. Only about a 1/4 inch extra material needed

Can you show me pictures of how you modified it and what all you needed to use to do it? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks man!

Thanks. I'd really love to order the Opt-7 FluxBeam-X 9005's for my high beams but with them not fitting I've been hesitant to order them as I feel it will be a waste of money but if you show me a way to make it work that would be awesome!

same here...I bought 3 different types of LED kits and returned them all...they all fit, but they were too long and didn't let the dust cover close correctly. I have a 14 Ram with projectors...would love to know how you got the cover to close...
