Thoughts please: my 2015 Ram Big Horn 1500 CC 5.7 hemi 34000 miles for. A 2016 Ram 2500 SLT Cummins 34000 miles, 40,000 dollars. The reason for the possible upgrade to give me more payload when I pull my TT.!

as long as the cummins is stock, no tuner, not deleted ect, it could be a good deal. does it have the same options as the big horn? keep in mind, the cummins des not like short everyday trips. if it isnt worked, problems can arise with all the epa crap on the engine and exhaust.

The engine is stock. The only thing that I see lacking are the power seats, the back up camera and the bigger screen on the radio. It has the built-in trailer brake, my 1500 does not have the trailer brake. The 2500 has a new set of tires all the way around in my truck will need a new set of tires for too long

The 2500 is also four-wheel-drive and my 1500 is 2 Wheel Drive

You can add the radio and backup camera I believe however I feel like I would miss the power seats. I'm not too sure if you can add those. Sounds like a good deal though. How much are you getting for a trade in?

The dealer just called me back I was only going to offer me $20,000 trade-in and I owe 26 so unless they come up with more cash it's going to be a no go.

As you have already found, from a financial standpoint you would be taking a total bath because as you see that first few years of depreciation is a bear.

If you really need the upgrade to safely tow your TT then just take the loss and enjoy the 2500.

That's a stupid price for a 2015 that they will mark up to 40 after you give it to them.

I got almost 26 for a 14 big horn with 55k on it. It was 4wd though. But still there putting it to you. You didn't say where your at. Around here I'd think you would get beat up on a 2wd. I've seen very few on lots. Sell it out right. Look at the dealer in Idaho. I remember seeing a few good prices on some Cummins, brand new. Like what was said they don't like short trips. Stupid smog ****. I'd rather have my 03 5.9 then a new one.

Here's an update: I decided not to go with the trade because at the end of the day the numbers were going to be a $20,000 difference between my truck their truck. So I decided not to do it. What I did, so I just purchased the lifetime care warranty price for 2630 so I'm covered.
