What mpg are you getting in your Rams? I just bought mine with 22k miles on it and am getting roughly 16 mpg. That is really low, right? I don't floor it and drive like 75% highway, 25% "city". I thought this truck would get around 20 or so mpg, even in the winter. I swear I did a search and couldn't find anything on mpg. Thanks Gents.

Where are you located? Winter gas and taking longer to warm up will affect gas mileage. I have a 2wd CC with 3.55s in the rear end, and I get about 22mpg average. Also, do it has the stock tires, and what size rims?

You should be smiling ear to ear with 16mpg. I'm from Philly aswell and im driving a 2012 1500 Regular Cab 5.7L Hemi with 20" stock wheels with 32k miles and I'm getting 11.8-12.2 mpg. The first day I bought it I reset the EVIC and I got upto 15.8mpg. I swapped my 20" ATX Wheels with 33" tires and it dropped to 11mpg. About 5 days ago I took off the ATX Wheels and put on 20" stock chrome clads with the stock wranglers and the milage hasn't gone up since!! Still lingering between 11.8-12.4mpg. Ive got a Flowmasters exhaust and a K&N 63 Series Intake.

I'm not even heavy on the gas. Don't get me wrong, I do go about 50%-70% throttle every once and awhile but nothing insane. I've "floored it" maybe 5 times since I bought it a month ago.

It could have to do with me putting it in "manual mode" and leaving it in "6th" while I'm driving. I've read that this keeps the ECO light off and MDS from engaging. The MDS was driving me nuts and the damn noise the intake makes when in a high gear at low rpms was driving me nuts. I'm guessing this is why my mileage is so terrible lol.

And to think.... my old 2006 Ram 1500 Quad Cab Hemi 4x4 with 176k miles used to get 15-16mpg and I thought THAT was low!!!

Do we just have shotty gas out here? Im in Lower Bucks County to be more exact. I get the winter blend lowers mpg's but didnt think it wld hurt it this much. I have no added weight or anything either. I've read elsewhere about people getting 28 mpg with the gas V6 but they must be BSing.

Lol I live in lower bucks too. Where are you from? I'm from Newtown, not originally though, living here temporarily.

Anyways yea I always get 89. I've read it's a must for the hemi's. I think it's my exhaust and intake that's hurting my mpg and the ****** gas we get around here. I never have ANY weight in my truck. I don't understand my ****** mileage lol I've seen people with crew cabs and quads with the hemi say they get 17 and 18. Mine is a regular cab which is way lighter and I'm getting 11-12... just doesn't make any sense at all. My truck only had 32k when I bought it and it just rolled over to 33k so it's not like the motor is old and beat up.

Maybe I need new plugs already. I dunno.

I'm lucky to get 13.5 in my 2014 Hemi CC 4X4 and I drive efficiently. I'm strongly considering swapping to a V6 when I settle on my "long term" truck.

for the record, wife's 2015 V6 Tacoma gets about 18 mpg combined city/highway. assuming wife doesn't have as heavy right foot as I do.

My old 2011 Nissan Frontier 4x4 was awful on gas. It got anywere from 14 to 16 mpg. Terrible for a small truck.

Also, I thought your name was Theon, not Reek...

Im getting 15.0 mpg with 4 inch lift and 35s. on a 2015 express 3.21 gears. I drive pretty rough.

MY speedo is off so by 8 mph at 85 and 2 mph at like 35-40. I think I should be getting around 16-17 mpg once I recal my speedo. I wll be tuning my truck next week so we will see if I can improve to 20 mpg.

Well I fixed my mpg problem.

When I first bought my truck it had the stock 20" silver 5 spoke wheels. I was getting 15+ mpg.

Once i put on my 20" ATX Justice Wheels with the big ass Cooper tires my mpg dropped drastically to 10.5-11.8 mpg.

About 3 weeks after i put on the ATX wheels I traded them for a set of Stock 20" Chrome clads. My mpg was still around 11.5mpg on average. Nothing improved.

Well about 2 weeks after putting the chrome clads on, I decided to hit reset on the mpg meter and immediately it shot to 30 mpg lol!!! It went back down but now I'm steadily at 15.6-16.5 mpg and it's been staying there for 3 or 4 days now.

So finally I'm getting the mpg I thought I should be getting compared to everyone else on here with hemis. I think my truck was "stuck" on the mpg it was getting with the old rims and big tires. As soon as I reset the mpg it was immediately higher reading. I even got it upto 19.8 at one point on the highway [emoji16] [emoji16] [emoji16]

What is your average mph on the reset tripometer? Mine was actually 25mph which I think is odd since most of my driving is Rt 1. Probably explains why I am getting 17mpg though.

Could extended idling time been an issue?

I know with the frigid weather that we have been having in my area I tend to leave my truck running longer especially since I just bought a remote start.

I think it is part of the problem. I try to warm it up for no more than 5 min. Sometimes that is around 10 min though. Probably zaps my mpg's.
