It's been a few months since I posted in my thread here. The extra work has been slow in coming and I would have thought this holiday season would have yielded more work, but nope.

I'm going to try and partner up with someone who does estate sales, and see what other avenues and can look into. :)

Hey Jim.

You might want to ask your agent about insurance for your "business", that way you could advertise you're fully insured, might help people browsing take a second look at you.

I will look into that. But I do have to be careful and see if my apartment complex will allow the parking of commercial vehicles. :word::happy107:

Been thinking I'd start doing a little moving and towing for folks too! How is it going? Any tips? I am still in high school so not sure if my age will be appreciated or not...

I'd hate to say it, but it's slow going at best.

The only tip I can give you is be upfront with the service you are providing. Anything that misleads people will give you a bad reputation, and that's the last thing you need.

I'm targeting folks that are having events or purchased too much material for a project.

Over the weekend I was reminded of a lesson I learned a long time ago so I thought I should share it with every one.

Was called about moving a few peaces of furniture. Sounds good, but I was not given all the information about the job so when I showed up to see what it was I informed the people that this wasn't the job I agreed too. They got upset, but it reminded me of that old lesson - Get all information before agreeing to anything.

I hope this post is helpful to whom ever reads it. Oh and details of the job not important. What is important is that you are provided with all the information to make a good choice. :waytogo:

Time to update.

Replaced rear bumper on the truck. Auto cancer got it.

Looking to have the rest of the rust repaired on the rear wheel wells.

As for the service well not so good. Looking to start over again.

Another Update.

Went to two places on Saturday to see about the rust repair.

:bawl: It's worse than I thought. :bawl: Both places were talking about replacing the entire bed. Which will cost around 3k. I'm not giving up hope just yet. A guy I know maybe able to repair the rusted areas for less. If not I hate to say it, but it would be trade in time. :bawl:

I'll keep you updated, but I've been hearing the aluminum bodies are not that strong and if they get hit they total the truck easily.

It is with some sadness that I make this post, but I'm unable to get the rust repaired at a price that is affordable.

With that over the weekend I worked out a deal and will be saying goodbye to this 3rd Gen. and will be getting another 4th Gen Ram.

For the past almost 2 years I've enjoyed this truck and it has served me very well. If anyone was to talk to me about getting an affordable pre-owned pick up I would without a doubt suggest a 3rd Gen Ram.

I will miss this truck. :bawl:
