I have had it with SR-CJDR (Stonedrige Crysler jeep dodge ram). They have lost my buisness for ever, (except recalls). Anyone in northern California/ Bay area, recommend a dealer?

This is my overall review of them.

Hi PCT,

Sorry to hear about your dealership experience! If you would like to PM our page with your VIN I'd be happy to document it for further internal review, just let me know.

WOW is all that I can say upon reading the reviews for that dealership. How can they even remain in business with that attitude ?

What sucks is the next closest one, has same starage, haha. Oh boy they're terrible, not sure if you saw my review but I've have had oil on my carpet, construction dust all over the truck but they leave the windows down so gets inside. (There is new buildings going in next door) and can't get ahold of the service advisors.

Now see it's reading things like this that really justify why I am soo hard on my service department. They left my window down one time when it rained and then were mad when I contacted the owner of the dealership to have my rug replaced. I hate to be that guy but no one is going to care for your vehicle as you ( the person who owns it ) would.

I'm hard on any service provider until the prove to me there compitent. This dealer has clearly shown otherwise... I am surprised there still in business and haven't been sued yet...

Sadly, from my experiences as well, this is typical of many Chrysler dealerships.... possibly most car dealers in general

Dont take care of customers

One reason to buy mercedes is for the ass kissing you receive

Check out Dennis Dillon CJDR. Yes, it is in Idaho. I'm in touch with them right now. If the prices are what they claim they are, it'd be worth buying one there and shipping it!

I think Ram has crunched the numbers and concluded that they can **** all over people and cut corners, and they save a small sliver more than if they treated people right and took care of things. Aside from some fleeting appearance by a "Ram Cares" rep here, the board has daily stories of people being treated like absolute crap.

I guess I have to give them some credit. Ram is definitely climbing in popularity and market share over the last few years and that's what matters most.... selling your product. I just wish I could find a way to treat all my customers like crap and still feed my family. It must be nice.

I wouldn't completely rule out buying another Ram but the absolute bottom of the barrel service I've received and read about here daily will be factored in for sure.

For comparison, I've owned Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Ford, Chevy/GMC, BMW, Mercedes, Kia and Hyundai cars in the past for my company and personal use. Ram is so for below EVERY one of those brands with respect to customer service and care that it's laughable.

Daily threads like this are living proof. Come on Ram - you guys build a pretty nice truck. Stand behind it and take care of the people feeding you!!

90% of it is dealer discretion. The dealers want to make the most - so they do what makes them the most that one time- They do not look at the whole experience- if you know the guys at every corner of the dealer from the parts guy to the techs odds are you will be taken care of - But only because you are on a first name basis with most of the employees at that dealer- I've only dealt with Three ram dealers -
1 - place where I bought my truck - They can die in a fire-
2 - a dealer in pahrump nv - they did my recalls as it was easier to have my buddy drop us at the air port at Vegas since we where gone for a week and he dropped my truck off at the dealer for me- They seemed nice enough- Washed the truck and called me to give me a run down of what was done even though I was 3 states away-
3- we where in vacation in Palm Springs and the check engine light came on, " I about had a heart attack" called the Ram dealer - told em the light was on- explained my situation- guy said " We are booked bring it by and we will see what we can do-
they pulled the codes and said it looks like the Evap system" loose fuel cap" - " Did you fill up recently" concerned maybe I got some bad fuel - I topped it off with either shell or chevron and light went away- They Palm Springs dealer service writer guys where helpful- Hell I could of been stranded 5 hours away from home with my wife and 3 year old twins-
If a brand ever strands me or puts my family at risk that's where I draw the line. So far Ram has been better than ford for me so I am content.

It sure seems this is true and unique to dealerships that carry Chrysler products. From what I've read on forums combined with my own experience, the attitude, poor performance, and lack of techs with technical experiences seem to be a nationwide chronic problem. I had to go to three dealerships before I found one that had a competent technician.

I came from GM and never experienced an issue like the issues from Chrysler dealerships.

What Chrysler needs to understand is the showroom makes the first sale, the service department makes the follow-on sales with the customer.

When I owned a Ford I used to go to the Livermore Ford , nicest group of people at a dealer I have ever met! I have only been to one Chrysler so we will see how Fremont goes.
