now ive been told the comment that a motor isnt that hard to find, and that is very true, IF you want to spend over 3 grand for a V6 motor to stab in a truck that is not a primary vehicle, my mindset was that until the truck showed me that it was willing to run that i wasn't going to unass a lot of money in it, so my hunt for a motor had to meet certain criteria, and that was that the motor was no more than $1200, it HAD to come from an 02-03 ram to be compatible with my truck, and i wanted to be able to have my hands on it before i ever paid for it, so that ruled out ordering a motor for her from the internet...
mind you everything i had done to date on this truck was done without knowing if there was any other problems with the truck that would keep it from running, IE: wiring issues, trans problems, ect.
so anyways all my hunting and searching kept bringing me 04+ motors which obviously i cant use, and the few times i found an 03 motor it had over 200k on it or the condition was unknown and they wanted top dollar for an unknown motor...
so other than those headlights the truck had sat pretty much in the garage untouched for another length of time, the bed ad actually started filling up with tons of my spare ram parts and stuff like that, which i will ad was a pain to find a home for all those parts once the current motor came into play...
