Could be collapsed as well. Hopefully not a worn cam lobe

The rocker arm isn't loose though. I figured if the lifter was bad I should have some play in the arm or pushrod.

True. If it was collapsed the push rod should be able to wiggle at least. But the fact that it does come up some but not enough to really open the valve. Maybe try removing the rocker and turn the motor by hand and see how much the lifter/pushrod comes up. Just an idea. I’ve never heard of a stuck valve but I’m also still learning about motors. I would think if the push rod goes to full lift with no pressure may be the litter or possibly stuck/bent valve not allowing full lift. If still no lift then I would assume cam lobe

This is my first time messing around in an engine. Swapped the pushrod's and got the same result. So I really think it may be the lifter.

Yea. Push rods shouldn’t make a difference. Hopefully you get it figured out.

Did you separate the trans from the motor when transferring to the newer frame? If so I would assume input shaft seal from being disturbed during the separation and reinstall.

Yes I did. Well guess I need to add that to the list of things to fix.

Not for certain that it is that. Just something else to keep in mind. I got lucky when I did the clutch in my car because it was a common fail point on that make of vehicle

Not sure what else would be leaking but now I get to drop the trans to find out.

Well found the problem, now I just hope that it didn't damage anything else and that it's all in the pan. New lifters showed up from summit so I am going to replace all of them just in case any others are about to gocc14ee5129740d99897867d5a3b3f3e1.jpga3dcc7edfffa6b4bfe387c932ccd2618.jpg4e720aced4361f4c547fcc5aa433e91b.jpg

have you checked the cam to see if it is damaged? i wouldn't be surprised if something like that could have wiped out a cam lobe

Ok well crap, didn't look at the whole thing when I first took a look. But somehow a lobe for cylinder 1 and 2 are done for. Not sure how I managed to do this but looks like I'll be getting that cam I was thinking abouteba67df795cfb61c4153f42a4aa64343.jpg

well considering how damaged the lifter wheel looked that is not surprising. the wear on the wheel that shows it has been chewing on metal. i personally don't know if i would consider just tossing a brand new cam and lifters in that engine without completely tearing it apart and making sure the engine is clean. if you wiped out 2 or more lobes like that then there is likely lots of tiny metal particles floating around the engine/oil that might have been pumped through the engine while you were driving it.
