And your engine, transmission, and differentials are vented so there will not be a lot of pressure.
Sorry. But air bubbles and foaming of oil is NOT somthing you want for obvious reasons.
Machinery lubrication’s article is about how forming of the oil is bad and I will trust them over anybody elses “Blog”. That is about the most reliable source of information on oil info you can get.
Go ahead. Overfill and cause foam. To each his own.
Im done
LoL.
“It still runs blog” is the source against “machinery lubrication”
Pm TachTechyeah, crazy expensive was my thoughts but searched extensively on the internet for justification to use something else and not much out there about this fluid and any safe alternative. I have the lifetime warranty on this vehicle and don't want to jeopardize it by not using factory spec'd fluids or a verified alternative. the dealer stated my frnt diff requires 1.1 qrts which this bottle is a full liter (1.06 qrts). hoping there's a Ram mechanic on this forum that could shed some light on this mystery. Thanks.
Imo Sir , I'd just use the Amsoil without the additive in the rear end then go to a paved parking lot and do several full wheel lock turns right and left with your window down and no radio , if you hear chatter then go home and add the additive and repeat the above process ....
Not sure if the extra additive would have negative results , but if Amsoil says it has it already I wouldn't add any unless needed .
Remember you won't get 100% of the old oil & additives out so you're already starting with a bit of additives.
Redline said they had it already as well , mine has not chattered and I've got about 25k on the RL , if Amsoil says they have it I'd say you'll be good . Wouldn't hurt to have the anti-slip additive on hand though [emoji6]
If you haven't done so already check out my Original Post #1 here
