I like that there's no more pop ups when I go to a new page. I kept accidentally hitting links because they'd come up just as I tried to click on something else. New site is a winner in my opinion.

I don't like how the 'random media' and 'recent threads' take up 1/3 of my screen. The other 1/3 of the screen is taken up by avatars and the associated junk with them.

I came here to read about Ram's, but if only 1/3 of the screen is forum posts...I'll just mosey on outta here.

Are you talking mobile or do you have a small moniter?

Sorry about that. Is there away to zoom out on your laptop? I know I am grabbing at straws, but thought I would ask.

Here's a question... Every time I come to the site, the style of Ramforum Dark is used. I can change the style to Ramforum Light, but the next time I visit the site (day or two later), the style goes back to dark. Is there a way to make my default Light? Using MAC with Firefox browser, not always logged in, sometimes just looking. Thanks

You have to log in for the software to 1) know who you are, and, 2) display the site in accordance with your preferences.

Is there a way to turn off the "Hot topics this week" email? I can't seem to find a setting for it.

I don't want to shut off any important admin type emails, I just don't want the "Hot Topics" email, which IMO is decidedly NOT an important email.

It's on or off. I still believe you will receive normal emails, new convos, mentions, and so on if you uncheck the "Receive Site Mailings".

I may have missed this, but I cannot edit or update any of my old threads. I have that DIY Directory, and it wont let me edit any of the posts to add or remove anything.

Editing threads and posts has a time limit. If you want to know how long you have, let me know and I'll check with the Tech Support group.

When did that start?

We've got stickied and other very active threads for 2013+ schematics, radio fw files, 8.4 radio conversions, foglight & heated seat wiring, etc that require constant updates to the OP as new information, methods and files become available. I certainly can see not being able to fully delete a thread/post but no longer being able to edit one is a serious handicap to both the members and the people that try to keep the threads up to date (especially with a complicated vehicle mod).

Sincerely,

Mike G.

I can't say for certain but I believe it's always been that way.

However, I take what I said in my earlier post back. I can edit an old thread or post but that may be due to my moderator profile.

If someone who is not staff wants to test this, then post back here, I would appreciate it.

Looks like I can still edit some of my old posts back to 2015... so I can unpucker now!
I hope shaggy never implements that, it's a big reason why I could never get threads to look right at the other forum and never went back once I found this one.

That's good news, Mike!

So now I am wondering if Vendor profiles allow editing of old threads and posts as staff can.

I think we need to hear back from any member who has some old threads out there to check on that profile as well.

Half the pictures that get posted appear like this via tapatalk, can't click on them or anything. It must be a tapatalk thing but any clue how I can fix it?7884a507f2ceaf2b63ee670bb66a5c59.jpg8f3ba9b31e3e7a072da1ea351547e0e2.jpg

Other issues since the update that haven't had a reply yet ...

User profiles (viewed w/Tapatalk)
- ** can't see member's truck info anymore (ie year/model) **
- can't correctly see "started threads" anymore. (Looks like participated threads for both/ getting a bunch of other threads).

Conversations/messages (via Tapatalk)
- Can't add other members to current conversations, ie I previously was able to copy DeereGuy on M² Mods related messages from other members but can't add anyone on the new sw.

PS: pictures show up for me on Tapatalk (Android/Samsung Gs7)
