Haha I know I look at gear and the wife gets pissed. She’s not looking forward to me getting back on one.

Yeah we’re moving in June and still have mine. Ima chop it after we move no reason to start tearing it apart when we’re moving soon. I’ve gained enough control of my hand to grab a clutch I think by I still have bad days that it hurts.
But I miss the feeling of the freedom a bike brings terribly. No safety gear can prevent everything like in my case but it can help in most.

So i fixed a small problem that's always bothered me on my red truck, the tailgate is bent out of shape (by the previous owner who didnt know how to tow a 5th wheel properly), which caused my handle actually poke out off the body like 1/8", well I actually decided to mess with it and do some hammer persuasion and get it to sit flush...

Thank god the damage is on the inside of the tailgate and not the outside, but now it fits perfectly, also I ordered a gloss black replacement handle and a new gloss black ram head emblem, not real sure why i did any of this because once i finish up the shaved bed and tailgate for the black truck im gona shave a new tailgate for this truck which will eliminate everything i did and just bought lol

This, lol, but I'm ignoring the problems with my truck for now in light of other things. Like the need for a 4 digit or higher daily account balance in order to be financially prepared for a few surprises.

very true, im no welder and the shaved tailgate for my red truck will be my first welding job, my body guy is gona teach me so i can say i did that one all on my own, ya know i pride myself in the fact that every step of every truck i build that i have my sweat and blood in each part, i help with every phase but i cant weld, so its time i change that and then i can brag and say i did my tailgate all by myself.

ive ignored the tailgate for 2 years lol, not sure why all the sudden it got to me, but i have been paying more attention to the back of this truck, lately so that may be it, the chrome bumpers are next on my list for things that need to change

Can you get paintable base style bumpers so it'd be possible to swap bumper caps for different grill/headlight combos and not have to have a bunch of custom body worked full bumper covers?

Also, could you buy separately the sport style air dam rather than just the regular one?

yeah you can get base bumpers and paint them, very easy to do...

on the 06+ 3rd gens the sport bumper cover fits over the chrome so it makes converting to a sport front end very easy, the early 3g sport cover didnt do that at all...

ive seen the extra sport ground effects air dam put on a chrome bumper but to me it looks out of place

Just to be clear, I mean the regular black air dam on the 02-05 sport bumpers. With the horizontal slot in them and they're overall shorter in height than the normal air dam.

I'm NOT taking about the daytona lip. Jsyk.
