I’m a new Rebel owner just picked this up last week. I’m also a new Rebel forum member. First time I’ve owned a truck. Was previously a Jeep driver. Although, the Rebel I have is not the most decked out version ie no sun roof or Ram Boxes. Also doesn’t have the auto 4 wheel drive feature. However, I’m still pleased so far and enjoying the ride.

Is that black or granite crystalline? Great looking truck. I just wish the rebels interior was black or charcoal. Not the biggest fan of red. I actually find that the stock rebel wheels are my favorite wheels to include aftermarket. Now when the 19 rebel beadlock wheels are available I think I will search high and low to get those

Thanks for the welcome all much appreciated. Jim I believe the color is Called Brilliant Black pearl or something like that. If you look close enough it’s got a bit of glitter to it. As for the seats I think are cool, the red color doesn’t bother me too much, gives it that sporty appeal to it. I had leather in my Jeep Cherokee, found I didn’t like leather so much, don’t mind it but these seats are fine too. Definitely enjoying the ride in this ram Though. Like gliding on air on good roads. First truck I’ve owned is this one and so far it’s just great. Nothing like that little rumbling growl to the Hemi.Fuel economy is ok. It’s a truck so the added cost is to be expected for a larger vehicle.

Good day all.

I hope you did not think I was bashing the red. It's just that I prefer black or charcoal interior.

I think also charcoal would be cool too. No worries. Well this Rebel was only one of 2 they had. The other was a white truck but I chose this one. Well I’m still satisfied so far being my first truck. Hopefully it’s dependable and reliable. Anyway it’s a nice ride for sure.

welcome!

great truck, tons of cool tech in these. very capable, too. my dad has one, and his doesn't have auto 4wd either. I think i read somewhere that the rebels get a beefier transfer case, and that removes the auto 4wd feature. might be worth reading up on!

Thanks for the welcome Christopher. I will definitely look into the beefier transfer case. Think that is definitely a plus. It’s definitely a nice ride so far. Fuel economy so far seems reasonable. Looking forward to highway trips to see the difference. Definitely seems it will be very capable especially in our harsh Canadian winters up here.

Cheers!

absolutely! hope what I read was true. my dad sees about 15 city, 19 highway (mpg...lol) my 3.21 2wd 8spd gets much better fuel economy, but his 3.92 setup out tows me easily. plus the air leveling is beautiful.

keep an eye on the onboard compressor for the air bags, I think cold air and salt tends to get the best of those. very expensive out of warranty

Congrats on the new Rebel! Looks great. I was also trying to decide between black and white, but I chose the white one LOL.

I agree with you about the stock Rebel wheels. I was looking at aftermarket wheels just to see what was out there, and I like the stockers better than any that I saw.

You're going to be disappointed to hear that the 2019 Rebel wheels won't fit 4th gen Rams because they switched the hubs from five lugs to six.

Congrats, OP...this '16 Reb owner suggests investing in the lifetime warranty from FCA ASAP. Good peace of mind! These trucks have too much electrical stuff on 'em to go wrong. That said, my truck has been fairly close to perfect! Enjoy that beauty!

As far as fuel economy goes, you might see better numbers after 5kish miles. Mine was getting 11-13 highway for the first oil change but after that 5k mark Ive been getting 17-22 avg on the highway here in Missouri (lots of hills makes it vary a bit). So I had quite a bit of difference after putting some miles in.

Great looking truck man.
