While turning the crank put your finger over the spark plug hole and feel for escaping air. When the piston is at the top of its stroke that is top dead center on the compression stroke. If you can’t get your finger over the hole get a compression test kit and use only the tube.

Check the AC drain hose for blockages. Spider have make nests in them and moistures will collect from the AC radiator which in time will build up and have water sloshing around; especially when rounding corners.
Again...there will be zero disappointment. I have EBC slotted and dimple rotors with yellow stuff pads. I replaced the yellow stuff pads after their service life with green stuff as I’m towing more now. I as well as many others are customers forever.
Sounds like a faulty evap canister valve/solenoid. My truck did this same thing when I topped off the tank with a fuel can and I over filled it. However it only acted up when going down hill and after hitting flat ground and consuming some fuel (1 gal) it has never had the issue since.
Yep, I’m a bit lost on this. It appears to me the dead battery is a symptom of a poor performing charging system. Hence when the positive lead was disconnected the engine died.
That would the alternator at fault. Just need a replacement now.
FWIW-I’ve ran a combined total of 60+ amp of lights and ARB compressor for 12-15 min several times at idle in my 2008 ram and never had an issue, so I don’t feel it’s the devices you’re operating rather an unfortunate premature...
