I'm not sure about the 24 valve engines the basic truck is the same as mine iv'e had some brake probs but nothing i could not fix dash cracking normal for 98s overall good truck.Seems a little under priced for year and miles make sure it don't have a rebuilt title if so i would walk away,make sure it has not been wrecked,or motor/trans is not messed up thet is very expensive to repair.
