Error code 20 on apple car ply

Just got the same error as well. I called Uconnect and they have directed me to visit the dealer. However they said if the dealer is trying to charge you, then to call them back and they will escalate the case. You should not have to pay anything, even if you are not under the warranty...

Best rotors and pads for a Ram 1500

Hawk LTS pads if you like a good initial bite (cold or hot).

recommend new front brake pads for me

If you are after significantly improved stopping power, give the Hawk LTS pads a try. I was very impressed with their cold bite stopping ability and their resistance to fading, especially when towing. I installed then in both axles in my previous 4runner and I could stop on a dime by barely...

Stock headlights are terrible, upgrading to LED's, fog lights don't work

I too have a very positive experience with Vanquish. My 2018 RAM 1500 BigHorn came with the Quads and I hated the lights. I bought LEDs for the lows last May from Vanquish, and didnt have a chance to install them till a couple of weeks ago. I called Vanquish before installation as I had a...

    oil temperature while towing

I was looking at the oil filter relocation kits that include the oil cooler too. I'm a bit worried about warranty issues so I'm going to ask the dealer first before making the mod.

    oil temperature while towing

Thanks for sharing. On flat roads it was somewhere between 240F-250F. However on a steep incline and at 3K+ RPM, the oil temp suffers and a heavier oil should help protect the engine better. Not sure that the oil temps will be lower though and for that I think the only solution is to add a...

    oil temperature while towing

Thanks, I agree. It makes no sense to run such a thin oil while towing. 5W30 it is.

    oil temperature while towing

UPDATE: I changed the factory oil at 1150 miles and I replaced it with PUP 5W20. I planned on using this oil for two more 3K OCIs before changing to Redline 5W30. Same hill but different and heavier trailer (6000 lbs) about the same outside temperature of 95F. Oil had about 1400 miles...

    2017 No start after sitting.

Also worth checking is the alarm feature that immobilizes the engine, preventing starts. The electronics may have an issue. GL

    Driver's seat loose?

Thank you all for your replies. I will have it looked at whenever I visit the dealer next, most likely at my next oil change in a few months. It’s is not a pressing issue at this time but I will make sure I will update this thread with the outcome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Driver's seat loose?

Hello, I have a brand new 2018 1500. If I step on it a bit hard at a light, I feel the driver's seat backrest move a little along with a click. I think something is loose or broken in there. Has anyone experienced this before and suggest a possible fix? TIA, Jim

    Dealing with dealership..

On my 2018, if I have one of the vents closed, the blower fan makes a whistling noise which I believe it's because of the back pressure due to the closed vent. If I open the vent, the whistling goes away.

    8HP70 Trans Fluid Change

No, it doesn't have to be the same temperature going in. You need to make sure that the tranny temp is between 30°C and 50°C when checking the fluid level after the final fill. It helps if you have someone monitoring the tranny temperature display at the console while you open the fill plug...

    8HP70 Trans Fluid Change

I have done half a dozen ZF fluid changes in my own cars (BMW and Ford with the ZF 6HP26). The tranny fluid and pan change is not that complicated especially if you can read the tranny temperature at the console in the RAM. The fluid I used with excellent results is the Ravenol ZF fluid. It...

    oil temperature while towing

Thanks guys. I'm planning on using PUP in the first few oil changes like R.L.K suggested and then switch to Redline. I thought 5W-30 is also "approved" by FCA. Here's what's in my manual: NOTE: Mopar SAE 5W-30 engine oil approved to FCA Material Standard MS-6395 may be used when SAE 5W-20...
