I have 2007 Ram 3500, 6.7 Cummins, dually. Do I need sway control bars for a 6,000 lb +/- travel trailer? Just got trailer, short drive home seemed fine, no Interstate/major highway travel yet.

I've never had sway control on my trucks. A good WDH is all I've used and got along great for thousands of miles. Last spring driving through northern N.M., 8000# trailer and ATV in the truck we encountered 70 MPH cross winds. Empty semi's were turned over on the highway ahead of us. We ran 45 MPH for about 40 miles until we found a place to get off the road and wait out the wind. I decided I don't need sway control.
