Is there a bypass for Navigation movement cut-off?

When you are moving the navigation screens lock (where you have to type something in, like a street name...), is there a way to bypass this? My old truck had a switch on the back of the GPS head unit to bypass it.

I know it's a safety thing, bit it drives me nuts. 95% of the time my wife wants to enter something while I'm driving....

I know on the older uconnect radio's you could do that with a lockpic. Not sure if you can get lockpic for the new stuff or if there is another company that does it

Be aware, Lockpick and others may not yet support the latest v17.x and up radio software (per other posts).
CustomTronix also offers a Jailbreak, but same issue I believe

was looking for stuff like this a couple days ago..

PAC offers a ton of stuff depending on what your looking to do to your radio (add front camera, add aux video in, or unlock NAV)

search amazon for NU-CHY2. this is probably what you need.. very pricey though

EDIT: doesnt look like this one is for 2010+ models. id email PAC and see if they have anything

Tazer will disable the in motion nav lockout.

You can short press the voice key on your steering wheel and say the address you want to drive to while driving. Believe it or not it picks up what you say perfect. I have used it many times.

It is important to note that ANY by-pass offered will have an affect on your GPS location. From my experiences, it is not worth it. Easier to talk to it.

Just want to unlock the in-motion lock... thanks. What do people do with a front camera anyway?

Tazer doesnt screw with the gps location. It doesnt spoof the radio like the pac / lockpick does. it just turns it off via a diagnostic code.

I was just about to ask how/why would it affect the GPS location ?? Then saw this. So they basically make the GPS think it's not moving.... that's not good. I'll look at the Tazer product... thanks.

If, and I say if, your 8.4 radio is still on 16.x or older SW, then CustomTronix can sell you just the RAx Jailbreak software to unlock the radio (& enable other video inputs later if needed) for much less than their complete kits with harness. You'd have to contact Magnus (CustomTronix support) to find out how much for the download & key file for your Vin/radio.
You can also see videos of the front camera working with CustomTronix jailbreak and other products on YouTube if you are interested in adding one.

I don't know if Cuyler is over at Tazer now or not but if their product works that way then they seem to have a leg up on Pac, Crux, LockPick and others.

Well, I just did the latest MAP upgrade for $150 or whatever. That required the over air SW update first, which I had already done. So I guess I'm out of luck right now, huh?

I believe so. Last time I checked a few months ago they were working on trying to get it the RAx working with v17.x. You can always contact them to double check. The more options the better imo.

Hey, I went on the Tazer website and it doesn't look like they make one for your trucks???
