I have yet to hear of a Ram dealer that is worth a ****. Nationwide most have a 3-4 week backlog on service/warranty issues. I know my dealer in Pueblo, Co. is also this way and they don't care what the problem is you are going to the back of the line. Then you get in there and they seldom can fix the problem and if so parts have to be ordered- come back in a few weeks. I often wonder if there are so many issues with FCA vehicles that the dealers cant keep up or if they hire skeleton mechanic crews as to keep their expenses down- customer service be damned. I received my 10th recall on my 2014 and am dreading even trying to make an appointment.

Pueblo CDJR (formerly Spradley) has always been a **** dealer. Save yourself a lot of headaches and take it to Perkins in Colorado Springs. I have dealt with them for years and whether I have bought a truck from them or not they have always treated me awesome. You will find that they have a backlog but that is because even people from Denver bring their vehicles to them for service and warranty work.

I can honestly say i have never had this issue with my dealer. May be due to the competition in Maryland but my dealer has been courteous, and corrected any issues I have had quickly and right the first time. I have owned nothing but Rams since 1999, have looked at others but a;ways come back to this brand.

Good luck , hope it works out for you.

Hope this has a positive outcome for you. Good that Ram Cares chimed in and will hopefully follow thru.
Here in N.Va there are good dealers and bad ones. Have been here since '92 and have experienced both kinds. The dealer from whom we purchased our current truck has been outstanding, the best by far I've seen in this area. However I agree with an earlier post, in that if at all possible I try to avoid going back to a dealership, though it's good that I've got a good one to go to if needed.

Where is OP??
Never posted anything after that post? He's not on here very much either. Only 20 posts.
Sounds like your dealership is to blame. Mopar trucks are still one of the best brahhh.
Every make and brand are going to have some vehicles that have issues. Yours started at over 66,000 miles. I "assume" you had an extended warranty then?

I have bought 4 vehicles from Perkins over the last few years and my experiences have been very good. Never had warranty work done by them because of the 40+ miles up and back.

I have bought two from Perkins. On a couple of other ones we couldn't get an agreeable price worked out so I bought elsewhere. Where I bought it had no effect on the quality of service I received, it is always top notch.

Sadly I think it’s bigger than just a lemon. I’m starting to notice a trend with customer service or lack thereof. I’ve had experience with all bug three North American brands and by far my best has been with Mopar related products. Jeep, Durango and on my 3rd Ram.

I’ve noticed my dealers service and friendliness sort of on the decline. They have experienced a change of ownership and in some ways for the worse. I can see with the employees they seem down. The usually chipper helpful employees have become bitter and for political reasons unwilling to help. Little things like making employees wear the dealer name on shirts and hats and deducting their pay for the items. Also, they will not honour the referral bonus and the sales guys are losing customers because people aren’t going to go out of their way to send people

Customer service in general is on the decline I find.

ram15001.JPG My 14 had one recall with oil pressure drove it over (slowly) they had it in and out in 2 hrs even replaced wiper blades due to age and sun.

(Alan Jay CDJR, Wachula, FL)

I still have low miles on my Express Hemi (badged R/T) it's a good lookin great runnin truck which gets 20 MPG hi way at 70 MPH on a steady cruise.

I traded in a new 2015 Tacoma 4 cyl useless truck on it and haven't looked back. I have a Titan in IL and I wouldn't want to have to choose between the two as IMO they are THAT close. The Ram's my first Mopar and a winner in my book

For the OP. Sorry to hear about your problems. Sounds exactly like my experience with Ford, Chevy, and GMC trucks. That is why I went MOPAR in 2001. My 2001 2500 gave me 14 years of trouble free service. Working on year 4 with my 2014 1500. Flawless so far. Unfortunately you have a lemon.

There are good dealers out there. The dealer I have used for 9 years is awesome. They took care of my 2001 and now my 2014. Perfect experience with every service visit. I did not buy either of my trucks from them but the service department still treats me like family.

Sorry to hear about your issues. I had great service from our Dealer In Waverly Ohio Hernstein and the service mgr. is AWESOME!! On my 4th Ram and been very good trucks! Had one that was a lu lu, But Chrysler fixed it with a smile and took them about two weeks or so before I found I discovered my Dealer in Waverly. They are an excellent service team. I left Ford 150 For Ram years ago and never looked back!
You need to find out who your factory rep is for your area and call him or her. The dealer will tell you who the rep is. A factory Rep can get things done really fast. Extended warranty if you have it will pay for a loaner.....and so will most insurance policies if you have no extended warranty. Chrysler Cares may be able to put you in touch with factory rep. Good luck to you Sir! Keep us posted.

A lot of owner's frustrations are due to their lack of understanding mechanical and electrical systems and expecting dealers to magically resolve the problem when the truck is dropped off. When the mechanic opens up the hood, the bad part doesn't magically glow RED and say, "Here I Am ...I'm the BAD part ..change me." Sometimes it can take a while to figure out the problem, and given the amount of electrics on vehicles these days (and the reliance on scan tools) it can lead to dead ends until the problems are finally found. Sometimes there are multiple problems. Add to that mechanic turn-over and experience. Plus there are some owners who may abuse their vehicles and dealers have to deal with that too.

But dealers who don't make a good-faith effort to continually dig until the problem is resolved ...that's another matter and a source of frustration I think we can all agree on.

I used to have customers (in my former life) who were so unreasonable I just wouldn't deal with them, wouldn't call on them, didn't want their business. Let them screw with other people's lives. This group of people (though small) pay the worst, require the most amount of babysitting, and cause the most headaches. Unfortunately dealer service dept's can't easily walk away from unreasonable customers.

Granted- there are some people that nothing you can do will satisfy them. On the other hand many dealers could care less about service after the sale. Excuses can be made, as you did, for the dealer but finding qualified help and paying them to stay there are the keys to a good business. And many times when outside of warranty you end up for paying so the service tech can learn on the job. This includes longer labor costs, replacing parts when they aren't really needed, etc.

I could never be in the customer service business as I couldn't put up the PIA's and would quickly be unemployed.

10th recall? I have a 14 as well and am curious as to what they are. I have only been notified of 2.

Good question. I have had only 2 recalls for my 2014 as well. I was at my Ram dealer yesterday. They always check for recalls that have not been done. There weren't any. I would like to see a list of these 10 recalls.

Some of these did not involve my specific truck but others took more than one visit to resolve. You might double check your VIN
So you had 10 recalls or no? If it didn't involve your truck then you didn't didn't have 10 recalls. And if something took a couple true to fix that's the dealer and not Rams fault. Every auto maker has its recalls, issues etc..... This truck in question must be a unicorn and combine that with a dealer who has crappy mechanics you get what the original poster is dealing with.
