So you had 10 recalls or no? If it didn't involve your truck then you didn't didn't have 10 recalls. And if something took a couple true to fix that's the dealer and not Rams fault. Every auto maker has its recalls, issues etc..... This truck in question must be a unicorn and combine that with a dealer who has crappy mechanics you get what the original poster is dealing with.

Some of my recalls came in two parts. One specified to have the issue inspected. A few months later I would have a second recall that required the replacement of the parts that previously required just an inspection. I like my ram but don't like the poor engineering that went into some of it thereby requiring all these recalls. You claim to have only two on your 1500. Maybe the problems have to do with the 2500.

Never have owned the 2500. That may be the difference. Hope it works out for you,but the 1500 in 2014 had features and design others never had! I still do not see 4 corner suspension offered by others! The new 19's are coming in early 18 to be a total refresh on the 1500 and 2500 the following year! I would buy a 2500 and really had great performance from 2002 until now with 4 1500 Rams!

Could you briefly list the subject of the 10 recalls. I am curious and concerned.

I've owned several Rams and one Toyota pickup years ago. If I based my ownership only on dealer service I would not ever own another Ram. The Toyota dealerships had amazing service. I can't say that for any of the Ram dealers around here. Sadly, Toyota trucks really bore me

I will never own one again too. I had 2 2016 Laramie Eco Diesel. The first one had electrical troubles and was replaced under Rams "Customer assistance program".

We had a meeting at the dealership with the Owner, manager, my sales person and FCA did not show up. After which they told me I had to order a new truck and it would be QC tested at the factory. $10k in the ditch. I relented and said ok. I ordered another Eco Laramie Limited with everything except tow mirrors and sunroof. The day it came off the truck, the radio screen was only viewable on the bottom half and it did not start. I was assured it would be taken care of.

It was in over 20 times in 3 months for a no start condition. Was told they had a keyfob issue. Key Fobs, modules, programming, and finally I hollered calf rope. I was there almost every day. They told me to take pics of the keyfob error and I filled my cell phone up with pictures. I drive over 1k a week and can't have a truck that will not start. FCA said the answer is to open and close the door til it will start. To fca, if you are having a medical emergency and there is no key slot to put a key in, you are dead! The fobs are a joke.

Had a meeting with FCA and they said they were going to put me in a hemi. I did not want a hemi as the fuel mileage diff. was a lot of money in a years time. When the numbers came in, the cost to me was 11k for a 90 day old truck plus the loss of 4k for the diesel. I do not know about you, but I could not stomach it twice in 6 mo. The FCA reps attitude was it is my way or the highway! I had a friend sit in this meeting and he said this guy should be working for FCA.

I sucked it up and bought a Ford F150. I had been driving FCA products since my first Plymouth Arrow in 1976. I drive a luxury pickup. It does a lot of highway driving and almost no city. Comparing the Ford Platinum to the Ram Limited, the Ford is a lot more luxurious and has the speed compensating cruise control. Why don't you?

I am now replacing all my other FCA products. I purchased the lifetime warranties on all my products but if the factory can not fix them, what good is a warranty.

The dealer puts in a star case. I have had a ton of them. FCA tells them what to fix. The dealer has no say in the repair.

Good example:
My friend uses 2500 diesels for his business and ranch. Had a 6 speed go out and had to be towed to an out of town dealer. Truck sat 6 mos. waiting on parts and another month and a half to get it fixed. A year later he gave up and bought his ranch hand a duramax and gave the Ram to his maintenance person. 24k on the clock and FCA would not give him a loaner because it was a 2500. Now FCA, you just lost a customer who at one time had over 25 Ram trucks on their fleet. The Dallas rep did nothing to help this company so they took their checkbook and went across the street.

I have experienced bad dealers myself, but I don't blame Chrysler. Usually when you contact Chrysler they work to solve your situation.

I dunno about the other vehicles but minus some rust my 100,000+ 06 runs like the day I purchased it. Had some trouble with dealerships trying to charge me for warranty items is all. Had the hub bearing recall and airbag/seatbelt recall. Great truck all around. I hope to drive it another 100,000.

Wow!! What a horror story that really sucks. Never had no issues with Chrysler, Chrysler/Damiler, or Chrysler Fiat, But have owned all gas and the last trucks were 5.7 Hemi 1500 Laramie's no issues at all. The last three cars was Chrysler 300 5.7, Dodge Charger 5.7, Dodge Charger 6.4.... had some issues with the Charger 5.7 but extended warranty took care of it no issues.

So you bought a Ford 150 Diesel?

I had a f150 ford it went 115000 miles was in shop at least every 10000 miles since day one with Ford arguing not covered under warranty nearly every time.....to include wrecker services! My horror story was with Ford...lol.

I dont think any of the new vehicles are worth what we pay for them no matter who makes it. When we complain of price They yell well the newer ones are way more better now with miles going way over 200K at 5 times the cost, but the warrantied 5 times the cost vehicles are still 36000 miles from the 1960,s!! So if they go well over 200 K Vs. 100K why do we not have a 72000 Mile warranties? Instead we pay for EXTENDED warranties? Total BS.

Everyone's Experiences are different, and with the OPS experience it would be ridiculous to expect him to remain with the Mopar family, Heck if that would have been me it would be hard for me not to set the thing on fire and drive it through the front glass., Well, Push it.

I personally like my truck in general, but I also have two issues that have been dismissed by the service. I personally had Extremely good luck with quality and service on my 13 Ecoboost f150. Hopefully when I get back into the dealer no.2 and try to get my issues resolved Ill get a better feeling about the overall quality of the truck and the service that stands behind them.

So the first part of this story begins back in September my way to work. On clear day back in September I was driving to work ( normal flow of traffic) when my 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 with 66600 miles (roughly) failed. Long story short the first dealership I took it to wanted to charge me an absurd amount of money for warranty work. I have another Thread on that situation if you feel so inclined to read it. late September early October I take the vehicle to another dealership do you have the warranty work performed. on November 20th, 2017, I took possession of the vehicle after having engine components replaced. While picking up my vehicle I discover that the vehicle has been ready for over a week, but no one made any attempt to contact me. On December 3rd, 2017, 13 days later, with roughly 500 miles the motor fails again. The engine shut off while I was exiting the interstate I attempted to restart and I got a horrible knock. that night I have the vehicle towed back to the dealership and was told the vehicle would be looked at Friday which was unacceptable. I ask the dealership for a courtesy vehicle, but I am told that is three weeks out. I contact the service manager and explain the situation. He tells me that he will expedite it. I contact FCA and explain the situation to them as well and they again tell me they will have it expedited. my case manager at FCA explain to me that the vehicle be looked at Wednesday or Thursday this week. today December 7th, 2017, I contacted the dealership asking you my vehicle had been looked at and I was told no that my appointment wasnt until Friday. (are you kidding me) so I asked to speak with the service manager. And this Joker has the audacity to lie to me!!!! He says "oh yeah the vehicle was brought in earlier today". Well how can this be when your service advisor has told me that the my appointment wasnt until Friday? I explain to the service manager that FCA advised me that my vehicle would be looked at Wednesday or Thursday. Then once more this Joker has the audacity to tell me that FCA doesn't run his shop and I can take it else. ( again are you kidding me!!! Really)? I am so fed up with this whole thing!!! I will have more information to this situation when it becomes available.

That sucks. One bad experience can ruin you on a brand. I've been fortunate enough to have zero problems out of the 4 Rams I've owned. I never had any problems out of the 3 Chevys I owned either. Ford let me down though. I blew 7 plugs through the head of my last Ford and I'll never buy one again.

I'll say that my dealer, Oliver C Joseph (my service manager was Jennifer), has great service and that much of what you are experiencing sounds like a dealer issue. I believe my 2014 1500 had a bad fuel pump from the factory and only showed symptoms in colder weather. It finally gave out last week on Thursday right after I got into a parking spot. I called the dealer who took my information and put me in contact with a towing service (paid for by FCA). They were expecting me at the dealer, took my truck in and gave me a ride home (it was the end of the day). The next day they called me to let me know that my suspicions were correct and it was indeed the fuel pump. The replacement pump wouldn't be on hand until Monday and all of their loaner vehicles were in use by other customers so they contacted Enterprise Rental Car and had them pick me up from my home. I got to drive a Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited over the weekend (paid for by FCA) and they gave my truck back early Monday afternoon after fixing my issue and performing a recall procedure.

All in all great service and the aforementioned story is what you should expect from your dealership when it comes to servicing your truck especially under warranty.

Sorry to hear this, my truck has been in dealership for cylinder misfire for 5 weeks now.

But dealership does have queue of cars to fix, and maybe only have a couple mechanics who work on complex engine problems. So if there are a few cars ahead of you already scheduled, they're not going to push back those cars..

I waited 3 weeks for mechanic to become available and for backorder of lifters, they just tear down my truck last week. They did provide a rental all this time.

Customer service can make a difference. This past June, a neighbor's dog was trying to get to an animal that found solace in my engine compartment and that dog tore my front fender out and chewed up my bumper cap, along with scratching all around my truck with his claws. I took it to my dealer so the pain could be matched with no problems and since they didn't have a loaner for me, nor required to provide one, my salesman gave me the keys to his dealer Ram until my truck was done. That means a lot to a customer.
