This week so far I installed my premium gauge cluster, black housing quad headlights and tinted a set of tails. I did the 8.4 upgrade last week and upgraded the headlight bulbs.

How difficult was it to remove the speakers? Did you find a DIY on this forum?

Very easy took me about 1.5 hr to do everything, including getting the box from the mail

I followed this video you can do 6x9s in the front like this guy but he will explain his clearence issues. That’s why I chose to run a 6.5 with a adapter plate

Stopped by discount tire today ordered a set of 305/55/20 Falkens at3w got them to price match tirebuyer saving me the hassle of shipping them to my house should be at the store sometime next week. Hate those stock goodyear tires, really wish dodge and well as gm didn’t use those damn things.

Now debating on if I wanna level it or not hmm

Discount tires called me to let me know my tires have arrived. Had enough of those junk Goodyears even though they had a good bit of life left just was time to kick them to the curb..

Even though I live in FL I work out of state most of the year and there’s no telling where I’ll end up so I went with a set of Falken Widepeak at3w.. first impression from my quick hwy drive they’re no louder then the Goodyear’s were so that’s a huge plus. 305/55/20

Billsteins 5100s ordered too in case I decide to level it but haven’t decided if I wanted to mess with how smooth the truck drives.

UPS drops off my grille inserts today from Firebuff. We swapped. I'll be up late installing them and putting the truck back together.

I finally got around to installing a LED bed light kit I received from Recon. I bought a set of their OLED taillights earlier this year when they were having a really good sale. (50% off, free shipping, and a free bed light kit) After a trip to my local Auto Zone to get wire connectors, a test light, and shrink wrap, the install didn’t take very long. I tapped into the left tail light wiring, and installed the manual switch just inside the bed below the rear stake pocket. I thought about installing the switch inside the cab, but I got lazy and didn’t feel like running the wiring inside the cab and finding a spot to install the switch. I never thought about installing lights in my bed before, and probably would’ve never bought a kit for that purpose. But, since they were free, I figured, why not? They were setting on the shelf in my garage for a couple months and I had a rainy day off work. Good times.

So from what I gather, you put 305/55/20 on a stock height truck? Did you need spacers? Have you noticed any rubbing? This is the exact set up I am looking to put on my Laramie, but the info online is a little back and forth whether you need a level and if it rubs.

Yes 305/55/20 at the moment it’s on a stock height truck... it may or may not be leveled this weekend though. Initially on the short drive home I didn’t hear or notice any rubbhng but it was late by the time I left the shop I’ll investigate this weekend to make sure everything alright. From what I found prior to ordering them some guys get a slight rub on the upper control arms at full lock with the 20x9 chrome clad wheels IIRC the sport 20x8 don’t have this issue most say a small 6mm spacers fix this figured I’d make sure it is rubbing before I shell out the money on spacers. I stuck with 33s unlike most guys will do because I do drive a lot out of state for work and didn’t want to kill my mpg to much and love the look of a oem+ truck and rather not draw more attention when I’m staying in and out of hotels most of the year when I am out of state working.

Thanks for the info. Did you trade in your stock tires to discount? Mind letting me know what they gave you and how much out the door you spent?
