Lately with all of the he say / she say traffic incidents around my way, I needed some type of protection. So with that being the case, I’m adding this to the equation. Gives me front/rear footage, and allows me to use my phone for monitoring while I’m away. Call it peace of mind for those questionable times lol.

Never done the dash-cam install but have heard good things. The dash cam plugs right into the radio. I have done a few of the DNX574 and it is by far the nicest looking radio I have seen. (I also do a ton of NEX radios).

I’ve had several bad experiences with Kenwood Head units ( my stories are in DIYMA ) and with that I don’t go near them for my personal vehicles. I always purchased their Excelon models, but never had great luck with them sadly.

Sucks to hear that. The Pioneer is still a great unit, my only complaint on them was a stupid notch they put in but that was on the first gen NEX models.

I’ve had great dealings with the newer Pioneers but this time I wanted bells and whistles just to dress up my boring interior lol. I don’t want to do a full on SQ system in this as I’m waiting until my 2018 vehicle purchase for that. When that does occur, I’ll stick with using oem headunit paired with a Helix Pro MK2 and my Zapco amps.
