It's a resistance harness that plugs into the trans. Long story short it will give you firmer and quicker shifts. I have the Trinity and I think 4 custom tunes now from Sean (hemifever) and shifts were 100% improved but still a little sloppy at times and had just a little to much lag. This fixed that along with my tuning, it shifts perfect now quick and firm with zero harshness. Sonnax claims it extends the life of the trans as well but that's there claim not mine, and they're cheap [emoji869]

This new software I tend to see topics on the recent threads that interest me and get involved with the habit of not checking generations or people's years lol so I started typing sonnax and then saw your year and figured ahh what the hell [emoji23] so I'm not 100% they make em for your trans but I believe they do

I don’t see a product for the 8 speed. Is it only for the 6 speed?

i dont know man, i originally thought this was a 3rd gen post lol the "recent threads" gets me everytime :angry94: i know some 4th gen guys use it but i dont know what trans they have or what all trans set ups they make em for

How much is the hemifever box with a custom tune? How many tunes does it come with?

You need to get the new intune 3 or wait for the trinity 2 to come out. If you buy them from Moes or Hemifever the custom tuning is free.

Also the resistance harness is for the older 6 speed tranny. The new 8 speeds can be customed tuned through the TCMs. This is the way to go alongside a custom engine tune and pedal commander for shift on the fly throttle response. They have only unlocked 2015 and up 8 speeds as of now, Mindy OP has a 2016...I am still waiting for the 13 and 14s. Diablo still working on them.

ATI underdrive pully with efan and 180 stat is a great mod! Ties together very nicely! Love mine

This is on my next to do list has soon has the weather brakes a little. I ran across the ATI trend the other day and was reading up on it "seems everyone that did this saw pretty good results".

I will do the efan for sure since it is a easy swap. I am mostly doing it because the fan clutch creates a ton of dust under the hood. Trying to mitigate what blows around the vararam even though it is mostly sealed. Interested to see what the trans tuning does. This 17’ shifts better than my 14’ did. Still does some odd things hopefully the Hemifever tune will fix.

Mine had some clunky sloppy shifting running just the custom HF race PCM tune. It was not terrible but you knew there was some thing missing. The custom HF TCM tune completely alleviated this. Now the shifts are firm, smooth, holds gears better (less searching), and at WOT shifts at 6400 RPM now.

I still don't understand what is so different on the 13's and 14's, that is taking DS so long to figure out.

I would love to throw one on mine. The only thing that keeps holding me back is I am afraid that I may want to trade this truck in a few months down the road and end up losing my ass on the deal.

If I do end up deciding to keep this truck, you can bet I will be throwing one of these bad boys on it.

If I do end up deciding to keep this truck, you can bet I will be throwing one of these bad boys on mine.

I’ve had my 2014 6 speed for nearly 3 years now and love it pretty soon will be putting an XP transmission in it and forged internals in the motor.

Just a point of order, but that is a turbo charger. A blower normally is used to describe a supercharger. They work differently.

Good to know and yea I have no idea but wish they would hurry up since my truck does the same thing you described above.

I love my truck but, one big thing that really kills it for me is I bought the truck with 3.21 gears. I got it at the end of last year marked down big time. At the time I was thinking no big deal I will just throw some 3.92's in it and still come out way ahead. Damn was I wrong on that one. This really has me considering trading in for a 17 or 18 so I can get exactly what I want on the truck before sinking to much more money on this one.
