Just so it's clear....a higher bulb color temperature (i.e. 6000K) does not equal "brighter" light (lumens).

I'm glad someone pointed this out.

I put some LED's from Cree in my 2012 Big Horn, not nearly as good as the pictures. I'll have to get a set of those.

These guys sell the best stuff. I wouldnt use anything else besides what they sell. Tested and proven to work as described. I have all their led upgrade bulbs in my truck they are fantastic looking!!!

I agree 100%. I also have their Supernova V-3 led's to put in my high beams.
I already have HID's in the low beam projectors.

I'm aware of the Kelvin scale. In fact I've got a couple of meters (lumens),can I call them light meters ? Why not ?
Why would anyone want any color except for 'daylight' when choosing lights for their vehicles ? I'm sorry if I was too casual with my comment on lighting, I assure you that brighter back up bulbs would be difficult to get if you're not working at the lab making but what is brighter than daylight ? I'm no expert, however I've only been satisfied with both color and brightness of all lighting that does in fact carry the highest Kelvin values that appear to be only at the 'daylight' end of the spectrum.

Can someone explain to me what a resistor is and where to buy them?

Send an email to this place, they’ll tell you which one to buy.

Oreilly’s has a resistor kit but I think theirs are just load equalizers for folks who wanna upgrade their incandescent turn signals to LED’s who have built-in flashers that can’t be replaced.

That website should have anything you would need. I needed a special resistor for the aftermarket third brake light I bought because the LED cargo lights would glow all the time and they had one. Was fairly cheap. I bet they could getcha fixed up.

Man I almost bought these until I double checked. 2013+ LED tails use a different bulb. Its a 7440 bulb type

921 DOES NOT FIT

I would suggest trying the Profile peak 921's from TRS which don't throw any warnings on my EVIC without any resistors/adapters/capacitors/etc. You can get them off amazon under another brand for like 10 bucks and they have been the brightest bulb I've used so far. All of those bulbs with the LED projector style output don't work too well on our trucks since that projector is aimed up into the housing rather than out the rear. I also put a set in my cargo lamps and they definitely help when I'm out at the property at night as an extra pair of backup lamps or just for load/unloading stuff in the bed.

If you need the 7440's I believe some other vendors have the same LED board in the 7440 base, but I never looked into it since I decided against getting the Laramie tails.

They do add some noise to the backup camera image, but my Challengers stock LED reverse lights do the same thing so it doesn't really bother me.

I just put a pair of the Zevo 7440 in my 16’ Sport. I have the factory Projector Heads/LED Tails.

Honestly. The colour is nicer. Brightness is marginally better when looking behind the truck. It’s also giving me a bulb out every time I start the truck but has no issues turning them on when I back up.

Debating if I should put in a resistor or just return these until I find something better. I’ll run them for a week and see.

Some comparison shots for those interested.

I keep checking weekly but they are always sold out backordered

Just got some 7440 LED off amazon for $25 prime. Swapped them in and no bulb out msg. This is on a 1 day old 18 ram Laramie with the LED tails. This is the most sensitive truck to date btw.

Just bought a set on my lunch break. Hopefully, I can put them in tonight after work. Crossing my fingers that they work great and won't give me a bulb out message.
