UPDATE

I have thrown 3 codes since doing this exhaust upgrade. I contacted HEMIFEVER,

I just downloaded his HEADER tune! WHAT A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.

I touched the gas and... eeeerrrrrrrr! put down some rubber, I can really feel the extra power!

One should always get a tune with shorty headers!

It's in the shop getting ceramic coated right now I will have the muffler next week putting it on in about 10 days. I picked the pro flow because it's no drone and it's got a nice Rumble to it and it flows 15% more than a stock Muffler ,there's a youtube video clip in the 1st post.

So your truck set off codes with shorties?

If I haft to buy a programmer I might just do LTs then, was thinking with shorties I would not haft to and it would be alot cheaper.

I think it was the AFE catless Ypipe that would throw codes.

YES it did ...I think only BECAUSE I added the AFE y-pipe at 3.5 inches Flows tone more air, it is huge.

Had I just done the JBA shorties and kept the stock y-pipe I don't think any codes would have been set off.

MY Y-PIPE is catted ! I am really imperessed with AFE.
Origionally I had broken bolt rattle, so I was only going to do shorties untill I saw a video of how restricted origional y -pipe was.

Its not the size of the y pipe but the cats themselves. The code will be thrown even w/ high flow cats. Anything other than stock cats will throw O2 efficiency codes. A custom tune will turn it off though

Yes it was the y pipe that threw the codes. I have shorties with factory y pipe and didn’t throw any codes.

After you install the new flo-pro please let us know how you like it. I might get one of theses if it truly has no drone.
