But that has nothing to do with fuel economy
Trips A and B are not “just” trip odometers. They keep track of fuel mileage for that particular set of miles along with average mph and total time driven

According to my owners manual, all they do is track miles driven and elapsed time since the last reset...nothing else.

Aha...some research shows they added the mpg in 2013....and mine is a 2012..........hmmm

What does yours say ?? or should I say where does yours say this ??
There’s 4 lines of info: distance, avg mpg, avg mph, and elapsed time. This is on the 7” premium cluster. Maybe the small screen cluster doesn’t display this, if that’s what you have?

Nope, I got a Laramie fully loaded with the top of the line 730n for that year (biggest they had in 2012)...all mine shows is like I said above....miles traveled and elapsed time since last reset.

Kinda explains why yall were saying things like ya were.......

I've got a 2015. The EVIC main screen only tracks mileage over the last 500 miles. In the A & B trip odometers, they also only track recent mileage. I tested this the other year. I haven't reset the B odometer in about 50,000 miles and the MPG would usually line up almost perfectly with that on the main EVIC screen. It was easy to tell after driving on the highway and both would show around 20mpg, and after towing where both would be around 13mpg despite different mileage.

If I am on the Interstate and have a tail wind. When the MPG slider is showing 25+MPG I like to see the high average! LOL

I already know averages, no point for me to do it.

Range can fluctuate dramatically, depending on whats behind it and speed.

Range is between 9 mpg up to 22 mpg
