Canoe Racks for PW with Rambox

Has anyone added canoe racks for their wagon? most aftermarket rack systems don't seem to work with the rambox. Didn't know if anyone had fabricated or bought one that they liked. Need to solve this issue by June.

Best bet is to get a hard cover and mount crossbars on them.. i have crossbars on my diamondback tonneau cover

Diamondback has ladder racks that mount to the tonneau... it will work for your rambox... just gets expensive after all is said and done...

Those Diamondback covers look awesome, but I think they wouldn't be able to be used if u had the racks on them. I don't want to loose the bed use while I was using the racks....

You can still open the tailgate to grab gear... the racks move with the cover so they can be opened if nothing is connected to the rack... it's a compromise

If you have some really basic fabricating skills (cutting, drilling), you can modify Yakima truck racks to work.

I found a set from Vantech that are made to fit in the rambox cargo tracks. I think to carry canoes I should only need one of the highback racks and then get one that fits over the cab, since canoes are around 15' long... Any thoughts? Anyone actually carried canoes on theirs? BTW, I love the pic Lowsky!

MarshRam, thanks. The issue for me is that I also want to carry a trailer.... Maybe my travel trailer or my canoe trailer.... So, that doesn't fix my issue. Thanks though.

I carry a 16' kayak on mine, but it does ride pretty close to the top of the cab. Might not work for a canoe if the gunwales rise much at the bow or stern.
