I have the fold flat floor under the backseats of my 2013 ram 1500, i was curious if its possible to still put subs in box, under the seat? If not, how would i acomplish this goal?
You have to remove the fold out floor to fit any box as far as I know, if I could find one to replace the stock box and still have the flat floor I would have it now.
The factory Alpine option in my 14 Ram allows you to keep the fold-out floor intact and usable.
The Foxbox in my 04 Ram required me to remove the fold-out floor and use spacers on the seat.
The single factory 10 doesn't compare in bass to the 2 alpine type-R subs but I'm happy enough with the upgraded factory speakers to leave it for a while.
I’m in the planning stages of doing this. You’ll have to have a fairly shallow sub that doesn’t require a lot of airspace. I think it can be done. I’m planning on raising the seats and the fold flat floor 5/8-3/4 inch and recessing the sub into the top baffle of the box, hence the need for a fairly shallow sub
