Dealer installed factory remote Start

So I just had the Mopar factory remote Start fitted to my 2017 3500. Does anyone know if there is a way to add the remote Start features to Your Uconnect app capabilities? Or am I always going to be limited to “lock/unlock” in the app because that’s all the vehicle had from the factory?

first off did the dealer install it if they did it should have been added on install, if not you will have to go to the dealer and flash the code into the system for it to work

Yes, it was installed by the dealer. I will have to give them a call to see what they claim they did!

Has anyone successfully had the remote Start option added to their Uconnect functionality after adding the factory remote Start after purchasing the vehicle?
Uconnect rep just told me if the remote Start isn’t fitted at the factory it can’t be added to your Uconnect services. Very frustrating!

FYI - you can add an aftermarket system and get control of the vehicle from your phone. IIRC it is cheaper service than uConnect.

If it didn’t come from the factory with remote start, then uconnect will not add the feature to remote start from the app on your phone.

I added the factory remote after the fact. When I found out the range is about 50 foot IF you got a clear shot, I installed the idatalink with t harness. 100% plug n play, and you can set it up yourself on your computer. No sending it off to someone to do it. Then I added the drone mobile module, all for $160. $5 a month for remote start from phone, and it has never failed to work, yet
