got a prob here w/4wd only,,,while in 4wd pulling into (ie a parking spot) in other words turning sharp,,,it drops out of drive to neutral and "jumps" back in with a lil accelerator,,,this might happen up to 3 times to get parked,,,something to do with extreme turning R or L this happens, no prob turning on a street at faster speed/less sharp/higher rpm's,,,,anyone familiar/experienced please advise I'd really appreciate it,,,regards,,,michael

That’s because you’re not suppose to make sharp turns where there is no traction while in 4WD. You’re doing a number on your drivetrain and front end.

No just under clear driving conditions. If the road is dry or even wet keep it out of 4WD. I personally don’t use 4WD when parking and doing tight maneuvers wether dry or snow. Only time I really use it is if I’m driving in a straight line or when on a slippery boat launch. Outside of that 2wd for me.

My buddy had a F-150 rental the other day and the ground was snow covered and I can feel his truck acting weird as he pulled into the parking spot. That was with snow.

I’m def not a mechanic but maybe the symptom you’re experiencing is due to drivetrain pressures. If your truck is acting jumpy and not smooth when pulling into a spot while in 4WD it usually means the tires aren’t slipping enough

Nice boat! That’s thing must fly with that motor!

I would take it in to the dealer and see if you can replicate that problem. I’m sure someone with WAY more knowledge than me will chime in eventually lol

Turning sharp while in 4WD can cause drivetrain parts to bind. It is a good idea to put it in 2WD during these maneuvers.
