I have always liked the Raptor style amber led lights that some of you have on your Ram trucks grille. I decided to add some to mine too. I never saw a write up so here's my take on it

  1. I bought a piece of delrin plastic (12"x1"x1/4") and cut (4) pieces at 2" long then just rounded the edges some to fit the honeycomb outline of our grille opening and drilled a hole for the Oznium amber flush mount bolt LED's.
  2. Applied JB weld for plastic to the back of the grille outline sections and placed the delrin pieces in their locations.
  3. After drying, I wired the lights together and made a disconnect at the bottom for easy grille removal.
  4. I wired them to my pass side foglight wires, I may end up wiring them to a switch or to the parking lights or DRL's, but this worked for now and allows me to be able to turn them off and on with my fogs in case I didn't want them on all the time.

They have really good reviews and weren’t too much $$. They also sell on Amazon

Thanks guys, my goal was to add the lights but do it in a way that wouldn’t be noticeable and not look like an add on (if that makes sense).

I like your idea of putting them in the mesh grill pockets.

Thanks guys, I tried to figure out an easier way to mount them where they would be recessed and this was only way I could come up with.

What size led are those, and what wattage?

Ive been planning on doing the same with my '15 Big Horn, except i got the horizontal bars style grill, and I want to fit them between the bars, for a hidden look as well. I need to see up to what size diameter I can fit in between.

Those little lights are just a 1W but dang are they bright. They make a small 3W but its in a silver aluminum housing.

It can be done. I used a Dremel and cut out what u needed too and drilled some holes for my mounting hardware.

Lol you can easily just add a resistor in line on the positive wire, greater the resistance the less bright it will be.
