I have always liked the Raptor style amber led lights that some of you have on your Ram trucks grille. I decided to add some to mine too. I never saw a write up so here's my take on it
- I bought a piece of delrin plastic (12"x1"x1/4") and cut (4) pieces at 2" long then just rounded the edges some to fit the honeycomb outline of our grille opening and drilled a hole for the Oznium amber flush mount bolt LED's.
- Applied JB weld for plastic to the back of the grille outline sections and placed the delrin pieces in their locations.
- After drying, I wired the lights together and made a disconnect at the bottom for easy grille removal.
- I wired them to my pass side foglight wires, I may end up wiring them to a switch or to the parking lights or DRL's, but this worked for now and allows me to be able to turn them off and on with my fogs in case I didn't want them on all the time.
