So I know tons of members on here are dying to get a set of OEM or TYC 13+ Projectors but just can not afford $500+ for brand new TYC's or $900+ for a brand new OEM set.

Well good news fellow Ram owners!!! While doing my daily browsing on eBay, i came across a DTMoto auction and they are now making 13+ Projector replicas in both Black and Chrome for only $299!!!!!!! Some auctions are $297.

Black: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/362137738720
Chrome:https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/132371019608

Now these replicas use different bulbs for the low beams. It appears they use the H7 bulb. That's about the only difference I can find on these. Overall they look like a really good set of replicas for a killer price.

Besides, if you plan to rip them apart and install new DRL boards and retrofit an FXR projector or whatever, bulb type and quality of the projector and led board doesn't even really matter then. I can only imagine how much easier these will be to open vs. the TYC and OEM versions which use Permaseal. I have first hand experience opening up a pair of TYC projectors and it was NOT fun lol.

I've dealt with DTMoto in the past, I've bought a few parts from them and never once had a problem. They even shipped me a brand new passenger side light completely free when mine stopped working and told me to keep the bad one.

So, i know these wernt for sale a few weeks ago so they must be really new but has any members on here bought a set ? If so, how is the quality and build? Do they feel like they will last or do they feel super cheap like all the other eBay lights?!?

A bunch of people have purchased and tested already. The consensus is that the are not exactly the same, output shots show the cutoff to be decent in the projector. But the turn signal LEDs have been giving issues (going out, flickering etc). Also word is that the adjustment for the headlight level is in a different spot/depth.

I posted a review on these within another thread and yes Demon-Hemi hast them. Still have them. I am getting a replacement passenger side because sometimes I have to flash the high beam more than once to get the flap to drop (for the projector bulb). I am very happy with them, and so far no LED issues.

Yep demon Hemi has a set... general consensus output okay probably not bad for those that are gonna retro then anyways and those clear corners that are on the market right now don’t fit.

I have them, and would not say the light output is only "ok". The light output and pattern is outstanding. The cutoff pattern could be a little lower (possibly trim the flap), but it is as good as my factory HIDs in my Audi.

If you look in the last picture, you can see that the / line is a little too long. But the light output especially with a 6k 35W HID system is amazing. I hardly ever have to use my high beams, and with the cutoff adjusted, I can physically see that the light never blinds people (I set the cutoff to below the top line of the average cars truck).

Has anyone opened a set of these up yet? If so I have a couple questions:

[emoji830]How hard is the sealant when baking and opening the housing?
[emoji830]Do the Klearz or DKMolds corner markers fit these replicas?
[emoji830]Does the Klearz DRL Smoked Lenses Fit These?
[emoji830]Does the Diode Dynamics Switchback/RGB DRL LED Boards fit?

If anyone can answer any of those questions j would really appriciate it. Thanks in advance.

Yea the Klearz corner reflectors and Klearz DRL lenses don't fit the TYC replicas either. I took apart a set of chrome TYC replicas and ordered Dark Smoked Corners and DRL Lenses and both had to be customized with a dremel and plastic glue to make them work right. They look fine and everything but don't just click/screw in like oem.

Yeah, I couldnt find anything. Oh well, think I am going to crack one of my sets open soon and put some cubes in them. I definitely have a headlight addiction right now and am goofing around with some various light mods.

They sell oem replicas on eBay for $130. Chrome, black, even some with clear corners already installed. And a big advantage to using a set of eBay replicas is the seal around the housing will be 100x easier to get open compared to Rams Permaseal glue that they use.

I was scared to do my 13+ projectors but I used a heat gun to open them and then used a quick drying black silicone to reseal them. I had no choice they wouldn't fit in the small ass oven at my place. Took about an hour for each headlight with the heat gun and some flat heads and plastic interior pry tools.

I have a set of black replicas with clear corners I am playing around with some ideas on right now. Just added some red backlighting to my highbeam quadrant for fun.

There is a company that makes led bulbs for low/high beams and built into them is RGB leds and you can change the colors and all that and it installs just like a normal bulb. No opening the lights up. They're pricey but really cool.

Saved my lighting mods for last as I thought it was going to be the cheapest. "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in" lol....

I looked through here but didn't see an answer, how hard would it be to retrofit these into a truck that came with factory quad lights?

Do a search on the DEPO projectors. They are a direct replacement for quad headlights. They come with a conversion harness.
(Had been discussed here somewhere about a month or so ago.)
