I just got my fluxbeam-x bulbs in and had two questions for people with them.

1. Is the “flux capacitor” necessary or do we just need the TIPM resistor to be installed?

2. Where did you mount the resistor or did you leave it in the housing? (Guessing that’s a bad idea)

It all fits in the housing just fine, I've had no issues.

You stuffed the resistor in? Did you mount it to at least the metal projector bracket in the housing or just let it hang around?

Nope, just arranged them neatly. Been in there since they came out with those...no issues.

I think you just installed yours with just the capacitor because there’s no way you can have a resistor touching wires without it melting everything. What year is your truck?

I crammed everything in the housing itself. It's all good. Had mine for about 9 months or so with no issues. I have a 2014 Big Horn with the quad lights.

I am going to just throw it in with the diode dynamics anti flickers I just don’t trust putting a resistor in the housing without it mounted to metal

I hope these LEDs are at least as bright as the halogens. I know you can’t beat HIDs I had them on my last truck with the projectors. I just don’t feel like drilling 10 holes in my frame for resistors, holes in my dust covers and hooking up a dedicated wiring harness to the battery. It’s just too much IMO especially if you have your warranty still intact. The LEDs stuff right into the headlight housing and are really simple, but the Putco Silver Lux’s I tried using prior to my HIDs were garbage even worse than my halogens. Just looking for an opinion on these fluxbeam x’s

They are way brighter than oem lights. I'm like you, I had HIDS on my last truck. just didn't wanna have to go through all that again. I don't drive much at night as I did in the past, so these do the job for me.

The Fluxbeam-X bulbs are definitely brighter than the stock halogen bulbs. I've been extremely happy with them. I used to drive with my foglights on all the time, just to be able to see. Now I hardly use them. When I do, it's WAY bright as I have the same Flux-X in my fogs as well. Actually trying to convince the wife to put some in her Durango.

Look at DDM tuning if you want to stick with HIDs. Their kits work on Rams and the canbus plus kit is less than $80 with shipping for the 35W version. It also does not require any battery wiring, it’s all plug and play.

Dude I put everything inside my housing and ran mine during the day and night... whenever I drove. For 4+ months. Never an issue with any melting or anything.

Resistors burn at over 200 degrees I would not feel safe with them inside of a plastic housing touching wires.

Does anyone have any before and after pics with the fluxbeam x lights installed. I’m debating real hard on pulling the trigger on this led kit? Maybe even a set of fog lights as well

I don't have any pics, but there are several floating around on here. If I was to do it again, I'd skip putting them in the fog lights. Find some of the other LED's for your fogs and save some money. I don't get that much of an improvement to justify $110 set of fog lights. I'd put the $40-$50, or cheaper, sets for the fogs. Unless... you are OCD about your lights being a spot on match.

Low beams, yes. Go for it.

I have a set of the X’s in my garage in the original box. I went a different direction with my quads and don’t need them anymore. PM me if you want to buy them.
