I was trying to remove the factory bed light to add some additional LEDs...I've removed the two screws but it still won't come out of the bed. How are these things mounted??

I had to slide one side up and the other side down. A small tab was holding them on.

Did you have any luck getting them off? I am trying to do the same thing.

They were held on by screws and double-sided tape. I only took the passenger side light off and wired in a red LED strip. f3cf7a7d7b265303acbe8a35bc18f14d.jpg

So you tied your additional lights into the factory bed lights and have no problems? I realize that LEDs are very low current draw but some of these circuits are pretty sensitive. Just wondering if that much added could be an issue.

On a side note, when I was scouting drain locations for my tonneau cover I looked up into the stake pockets from underneath and noticed the connectors for the bed lights. I did not note at that time whether I could have reached them to disconnect them from below. If so, it may be possible to make connections without removing the lights from the bed.

I haven't had any issues at all. I removed the factory light and ran the wiring for the LED out from behind it.
