Kyle what is the budget? Foreign and American makes considered? Any care about gas mileage? Only new or used as well?

Unsure on the budget yet bet we are still a good year or so out.

The only American vehicles she has ever owned are Fords. Its in the family. She has warmed up to my Ram brand and that is why she is considering jeeps. She will never but a GM product. Thats just her deal. I have no problem with them. ...Well the 1/2tons suck. LOL.

So if its anything besides ford or possibly a FCA than it will be a European brand.

New or used.... preferably new but lightly used is ok.

Edit: gas milage needs to be better than mine. So better that 10 in the winter and 12-13 in the summer

I was going to say expedition out of the gate, I had one and they are a tank but surprising great gas mileage. One of my biggest regrets was getting rid of my expedition. I was getting 16 mpg city, and I'm telling you that thing was so solid. I paid 23k for a new one, that was 10g's off msrp just like ram's do, but that was way back in 2000 and was a base model. I don't think they even have strippy models like the used to. I bet you can get a decent one in the 30's.

A second choice, my bro bought a trd 4 runner. Again, that thing drives so sturdy, I was very impressed. But I would shop expeditions. New Bronco coming 2020, but it is on the ranger platform which has been revealed, not very impressed. gl bud

She like the expedition and the 4runner. She is just not fond of toyota. I LOVE the new 4runners and tacomas. She got to drive a 90’s land cruser and fell in love but they are hard to find. And the new ones are not the same. And they are also super expensive now.

****, I may have just talked myself into getting an expedition. Looking at pricing on CL you can 2016's in the 20's damn. I'm telling you guys these are sleeper vehicles. If your wife drove any Jeep product, then drove an X, no fricking way is she buying a heep. People drive jeeps for one thing and one thing only, LOOKS. They all drive like garbage. Yes some people do use them from trail stuff, but that isn't 99% of the people who buy them as a statement vehicle. My biggest regret selling my X, my second largest regret buying a frick'n Jeep wrangler. On a windy day I literally could only do 25mph on the freeway, traded it the next frkin day on my current Ram.

I owned slot of those engines when I started driving, don't recall rattles or knocks. When tuned they were quite and smooth.
Nobody will remember anything any way that would go against their opinion.

Engines are so loud now companies have taken to piping fake noise into the cabin via the radio for no reason.

You meant they are so quiet they are pumping noise right?

Yeah, that was my first thought before I posted here but couldn't find it. How do you find a specific thread?

Everyone keeps saying how loud they are so the loudness is obviously why they pump in fake noise.

No, me too, I think he's talking about the noise those sewing machine motors make.

Correct me if I'm wrong , but initially he talked about how quiet today's motors are, then spoke of how Loud older motors were 60s -90s , then several posted of how quiet there older motors were and are still . Now he's talking about Fake noise being plumbed into today's motors ???
I'm confused .
