So I got an aftermarket grille, which I'm sure most of you have seen, that came with 3 LEDs top center. Simple wiring, a + & -. However, I'm a novice with DIY wiring and looking for someone to help me turn these on but only when the truck is turned on.

I cautiously yet bravely or foolishly, fiddled with it and could only find power that didn't disconnect when the truck was turned off. In other words the lights were constantly getting power and not shutting off.

Thanks.

I would tie them into your parking lights, but then they would only be on when your parking lights would be on... when it's dark. If you want them to come on when your truck is on, including the day time, I'm not sure where you'd tap into. Maybe the wiper motor power? There are plenty of fuses in the engine bay that you could check with a volt meter to see what is getting power when.

Yeah I tinkered with the fuse panel and was afraid I was going to blow something. So I didn't try any port that was crucial. There is a block fuse for exterior lighting #1 or #2 but again I was afraid to tap into that.

You can use a fuse tap and tie it in to any circuit you want that has power during ignition.

I wired my amber led grille lights to the fog lights at the fog light connection below with scotchlok connectors. I wasn't sure I wanted them on all the time, figured I wouldn't run them w/o parking/fogs on anyway.

Thanks brother, bought these and found the vacant upfitter fuse, F104 I think. these came without instructions but I figured out you have to insert the included 15A fuses (x2) into the wiring to bridge the connection, weird. They work only when the truck is on and concurrent with my DRLs, perfect.

Glad it worked out
