My 05 f150 with 5.4 was the one I've had that made the most noise.

I had a few older motors that made noise but they were not healthy motors, my first truck had a 292 v8 that had alot of ticking, year later it was dead.
All the ones I had that were not on there last legs were quiet.
My Hemi is quiet except for the injector noise.

But who knows I supposedly cant remember things correctly or so I got told by someone who does not know me.

But someone else stated if you said you did not like the new 19s that you were just lieing to yourself and would have one with in 2 years. lol

I had a 70 fairlane with a 302 in it that would rattle like hell on cold starts. I had bought the car new and had issue after issue with it. I was getting the oil changed at the dealer because I was haveing so many issues and they were using fomoco oil, and of course they could never duplicate the rattles. I decided I'd blow the thing up and get a new motor and beat that thing like a rented mule and it never missed a beat. Drive it normal and it would rattle again. I got so activated with that thing that I traded it and didn't buy another ford until 05.

I know there are a few models that pump fake sounds in to make them sound "cooler", like the Camaro 4 banger and the VW GTI. Some high end Euro cars have "Active Exhaust Noise Cancellation" which emits equal and opposite frequencies through the speakers to cancel out exhaust noise.

Since they no longer use mechanical/thermal flashers, most cars have either a dedicated speaker or software is integrated into the cluster/stereo which plays a "blinker chime" of varying types.

Ford has put computer augmented sound through the speakers of the truck ( on the 2.7 &3.5 ecoboost) to make it sound more aggressive.

Its ridiculous

I had a 79 chevy that was a X diesel that we put a 455 olds in and it started making lifter noise after it hit 300k, shortly after I rebuilt it.
Best part that 455 went through 3 derbys before I got it.

But I dont count these motor as noisy or typical since they were wore out.

Everyone keeps saying how loud they are so the loudness is obviously why they pump in fake noise.

That isn't the case, read the links posted prior. They pump in noise to make the driver feel like he is driving a muscle car.

Nobody will remember anything any way that would go against their opinion.

Engines are so loud now companies have taken to piping fake noise into the cabin via the radio for no reason.

Ad some just don't have experience to back their opinion.

Because muscle car engines are loud where as modern engines in general are not. You are not putting 2 and 2 together champ. Loud intakes, loud valve train, loud timing chains.

The hemi is not a modern engine. It's a cast iron 2 valve cam in block dinosaur with new accessories bolted to it to make it seem modern. We can go ahead and think broader scope than that. We are talking about the general state of today's engines.

And this old engine (hemi) needs an oil that mimics old oil formulations. It just so happens redine has high ammounts if ZDDP and calcium just like old formulations with the benafit of a super high dose of moly and the best (currently) base stock you could ask for.

I can tell you for a fact from my own experience that a brand new, new kid on the block, modern oil (PUP 0w40) with its modern amount of additive and all new modern base stock made my engine super noisy.

Ha ha , my " modern Hemi " with super tight clearances prefers 30 or 40wt oil over the recommended **** thin 20wt ...
