Went to Alvin TX to pick up red doors for my f450 in the dually tow truck, then picked up a parts mercedes in the heart of houston. On the way back near Sealy Tx, the Tensioner pulley decided to seize. the damn v10 kept spinning the belt over the pulley. went to oreilly only to find they didnt have the whole assembly in stock. Dad came with the part from SA, then the damn belt didnt want to go back on. was a lot of fun!

Shortly there after a trans line blew from the radiator to the trans cooler in front. trans heated up to about 180 before I pulled over to check it, usually runs about 120. cut the line and used a hose clamp and filled up with the only atf available ATF F whatever the hell that is.

Purchased some ATF +4 today and am prepared for the deep trans pan cooler install tomorrow along with new filter.

In addition my solenoid for my hydraulic pump has failed, so no towing for the time being and man am I broke! there goes my incoming cash!

Scored these yesterday. Rear bench, passenger bucket, front center seat and cupholders are all perfect. Dirty, but perfect. Driverside bucket is a little torn up snd stuff but ill have it re-upholstered so it is perfect. Pulled from a sport model in the local picking yard. I'll be going back later for the door panels. They also have a tan leather setup that i may pull and flip to pay the upholstery costs

How much were the seats that you got at the local picking yard?

$123  :pepper:
When are you gotta fix the body on that bad *****? It runs and rides so well, it needs to look the part.
eventually lol. This house deal goes through ill be getting a 2nd vehicle soon and then she'll get parked and treated nice in the garage
**** reminds me when I did my interior swap.

Keep in mind for the front seats the bottom cushions on those will swap with passenger side it is 4 10mm bolts. The cushion is shaped a bit differently for seatbelt cutout, but i guarantee you only you will know.

Thats what I did for my lowered ram

I paid over $300 for my door panels with the "wood grain" on them.
Yep i did that for a few days while i waited on a new cushion through Genos Garage. GREAT investment btw. These leather seats though are absolutely mint except for the driverside. It'd bother me a ton to switch the cushions because then the passenger one would just look messed up. Not to mention the driverside seat back is ripped so that needs done anyways. I'm going to grind off the rivets holding the driverside to the assembly on both the leather set and my cloth set. Install all but the driverside leather and leave my factory cloth in. Have the leather redone and then swap it and sell the cloth as a set if i can.

As for the door panels, ill be going back later for those

Got some led pods for the front at night time, or low visibility on the v10 tow truck. put them on the winch mount.

In regards to the seat bottoms, happen to have that truck today, heres some pics of those seat cushions, notice they are both passenger side.IMG_2822.jpg IMG_2823.jpg IMG_2824.jpg

So, did a little driving around trying to pinpoint this "mystery rumble" that's been bugging me for the last few months. At this point, I have to assume it's worn shocks (the rear one's are leaking), shot ball joints, worn hubs or something in one of the axles or transfer case (man, I sure hope not). I just can't seem to pinpoint the noise. Also, got stuck while driving through a field which was much muddier than I thought. Engaged the front axle and pulled right out and then marveled at the HUGE trenches that I had left behind while attempting to skip through in 2WD. Whoops. When those Duratracs start spinning, they ravage whatever's underneath them, LOL.

After finishing driving around, I stood in front of the truck and noticed that my brush guard is sagging on the passenger side. To be honest, I had thought that it was doing so ever since I got the truck back but my dog-esque short term memory always wiped it away before I thought to investigate. Well, today I took a look around and found that the guy who installed it MIXED UP two of the mounting bolts. There were two short bolts and two long bolts and the guy mixed up a pair. So, the passenger side has one of long bolts on the bottom, in which a short bolt should be, and a HUGE washer stack to keep the end of the bolt away from the frame rail and as a result, that side of the guard is pulled excessively downwards. And the short bolt that is supposed to be there? It's up top where one of the long bolts should be. I can't ****ing believe that the ******** who installed this failed to notice this. Needless to say, I am ****ing pissed, especially considering the $190 they charged me for the install. I would take the truck down and demand that they fix it but I would probably have to shoehorn the appointment into my work schedule which is a big pain in the ass. Not to mention, what are the gonna screw up during the "fix?" Now that I see how everything goes together, I'm just gonna do it myself.

Also, the lateral alignment is, I suspect, ****ed as well. The driver side bolts have plenty of meat after the nuts but the passenger side bolts don't even reach the end of the nuts and I'm surprised that the nuts haven't fallen off yet...

**** me, man. What a joke. How's the old saying go? If you want it done right...

Got the rear seat swapped out. Also awhile back i had my factory steering wheel re-wrapped with thicker padding and nice leather. Got a nice dark green and charcoal to color match but the charcoal came out way way light. The new black leather seats going in would've made it more obvious so i used some Fiebings leather dye on it and the results are awesome

Yesterday I decided to do Ye ol' Transmission check valve delete. Did some quick research to find out that at some point Chrysler used a rubber ball with a spring inside the check valve. I figured hell, I could just disconnect it and take a quick peak to see which one I had. Disconnected it and transmission fluid dribbled out of the line. Looked in there and someone beat me to it. I don't know who or when but that thing is hollow. I know it used to be a city truck for Killeen, Tx so my thoughts after seeing the shoddy front wheel bearing job they did is that they just yanked it right out. I guess that explains why the transmission is still holding up. Gonna change the filter and tighten the bands next month. :)

Note: The wheel bearings play a roll in what I said because when I pulled the front two brake calipers off the whole rotor wobbled in all directions and the rotor had about a 1/4 inch of play in and out. That's certainly some half-assery.

F8533E05-2918-4F3B-B419-D261F9A93711.jpeg After a great of wheeling and mudding at the Dirty Turtle Off-road Park I started hearing a clicking in the front end. This past weekend I got it up in the air and found a bad ujoint in my axle shaft. So I decided to do front end over haul. New ball joints wheel bearings and axle shaft joints. Fun stuff

I would avoid doing the front unless you do a manual hub conversion. Drivability will suck

Well in that case go nuts! Love the Truetrack in my rear axle

I am tired of not having traction in winter. So this will help tremendously.

Swapped out single beam clear lense headlights in my 96 for 99-02 era sport dual bulbs. Decided to try the LEDs despite suspecting that they wouldn't work. I was right, they threw the beams straight out to the sides. Going to swap in the correct high beams tomorrow.

Will do relay work next week sometime.
