Just to make sure you understand the rules in "The Free State." You may transport a legal firearm in MD, but the firearm and ammo have to be in separate locations in the vehicle.

Kinda defeats the purpose of carrying for self defense I know.
When I travel I will always look at state laws. But this was more of a question if someone put a holster in their truck and where did they mount it.

I agree with messy. But I had read stories of people relocating the filter, and it just isn't that difficult. IMO

Yea I wasn’t gonna go that far, just gonna try the gallon zip lock baggy trick next time and see how that goes. Next time will also be on a lift and not on the ground again.

My first hearing of this trick. I like it.

Yea I thought it was a good idea to. Read somewhere on here, one of the members suggested it. Just put the bag up over the filter and spin it off with the bag and your hand on the outside and the bag should catch all or most of it at least.

Got a kit to change my vertical fogs to LED pods. A lot of the other mounts I saw staggered the lights but this one keeps them flush with each other which I preferred. Excited to get this done in the next few days

Yeah, I use the ziplock trick every time and never spill a drop. I also create a small funnel barrier out of tinfoil as a precaution against any accidental spillage. I have a 2wd and do it on the rubber without any problem at all.....it’s really not too bad, or too messy if you take your time.

Yup, once you swing it out, just lift straight up and it comes off the hinge pins. There's a place to put a padlock that prevents it from being removed as well if you need to.

Is all the weight of the bin hanging on the hinge pin or does it rest on the tire hump?

And if you drift North too far into NJ, that firearm must be unloaded, locked or securely tied in a container, stowed in your trunk or, if no trunk, in an area not accessible by the driver. You also must be going from your home directly to or coming directly from a shooting range or a place of repair. Do Not stop off at Wallyworld and Do not pass go. Aldo, no mags over 15 rounds in this state. Have a nice day!

I bet, you 4wd guys might have it ****** with the oil filter, but changing out tranny fluid is a breeze I hear.

In the door pocket. Within reach, out of sight, out of mind. Hidden under a map if legal. Velcro makes it secure in case of accident. Just don't try that in Jersey, lol.

Well, I used a good filter wrench, and put the front end on jackstands. I am a 30 yr. T-38 aircraft mechanic (Retired). That may be why my elbows are so flexable. Ha Ha
I've been turning wrenches for 45+ yrs. You ain't flexible, you're worn out, like me. Hehehe
