So 2300lb payload, does anyone know how they got this.
Seems like they would had to change a few things other than making them 6 lug.

I was a little shy on my comments. To change to 6 lug I was implying they had to change that 20 year old 9 inch axle.

Oh the air suspension is still there, now it’s in the off-road package.

I really like the Air suspension, I hear the 19 will have a faster responding adjust from beefed up compressors along with higher off road number 2 position. Not confirmed but its been said on all-par as such.

it is only available in the laramie and limtied trims if that means anything to you.

I did see that from the Auto Show. Not too surprised. I think it comes standard on Limited and available on Laramie/Longhorn.

Right now it is a +$795 just to get the "AN" nav capable 8.4 on Laramie.

Finally had time to watch that video and will say with out question I dont not want any part of the new trucks.

All that new tech just looks like its going to cause problems, better have a good dealer and extra warrenty.
I mean they cant even fix the manifold bolts .lol
Just to much computer controlled things on there to go wrong.
He also did not mention a Express model.

ha ha...That was what some said about the new Generation 13 model year too and it was awesome truck change in 2013 and the 8 speed was great! So great the 8 speed will be in the 20 HD Trucks too. Extended warranty has been needed since 2008 models IMO with all the computer controlled things going on.
Thing is....... If all the makers of the trucks tell us the price is so high due to trucks now days going 200000 miles then why in the screaming hell do they not bump the 36000 mile warranties to match the 200000 miles they claim to justify the huge prices to match the warranties ? We should not have to buy extended warranty until after 75000 imo.

I will be very happy if I am still alive in 2 years. I have been fighting Stage 4 Lymphoma since Jan 2014. Nothing seems to keep it away for long and after each treatment failure, they try something new. Still here and still doing what I love to do within the unavoidable limitations. I will never give up.

God Bless you! May you win the battle and be here to beat up new trucks!!

Being old school my self I can say now days I would prefer no gun rack with my gun under the seat and one in my waist band with no NRA sticker on my truck! Kinda like the new trucks vs. the old.....I like the idea of the 1/2 ton pulling as much as a 3/4 ton did 10 years ago with a great ride to go with it! I must say the old school days when you could buy a new truck for way less than a new car today is sadly missed.

I enjoy mine as well. Since I'm older now and have no intention of lifting anything or running massive tires I've really come to appreciate the ride it gives.

I would love to have a truck with the only computer on it running the fuel injection system and the transmission if it must.
I dont see any need for another computer on them or body control modules.
Dont get me wrong there are a few things I like, the beefed up rear diff and heavier frame and the interior looks nice but way to much other junk for me to want to buy one.

Hopefully my truck last 20yrs and I wont need another one. lol

I would think a big part of the huge boost of sales was creating the Express model. Smart move because they made a cheaper trim model look more expensive. I bought an Express but wouldn't have bought a tradesman as I hate chrome. So the Express was a way for people to get a sport looking truck brand new for under 40k. I haven't seen anything on the new one showing an Express so I'd guess to get painted bumpers etc on a 19 you would be looking at 40k minimum. Even though they say the pricing is similar

In case I forgot to say my thoughts because we got a little off topic...

DAMN those are butt ugly Ford/GmHD hood and vent badged pieces of wannabe TheJetsons-Futurama embibed monstrosities.

In over 40 so I’m content if nobody listens to that feedback.

Oh wait, I’m Ram’s ideal buyer.

Toss the hood crap, toss the trunk shield, yes let’s call it what it is now, a fakn shield not a badge, and some of the sunroof too.

I respect they fixed the tire into cab intrusion issue for offset impacts as well as finally going to higher level steel in the frame but it’s still fugly and that was also said by a certain SEMA Upholstery guru who bought his 4thGen after falling in Love w mine.

I like the return to horizontal fog lights. I don't like the badges on the hood. I do not think it looks like a Chubby.

I like how it looks. I'm not an early adopter of anything and won't need a new truck unless I get in a wreck until like the 7th Generation.

Any dealers have them in stock yet? I think it's ok, but I think it's one of those that it looks alot better in person.

Next couple of weeks will be the Philly car show, so I'm hoping I can get a detailed look at one.

P.s. go eagles!!
