OK guys, I picked up a premium cluster as soon as I got my '17, sent it to Dominic and had it programmed. The speedometer would tick before i started it and everything worked fine, BUT it says Power Wagon when I start the truck. I thought it could be something with the cluster, so I just bought another one and it doesn't do the little tick, but it says Power Wagon also.

It's no big deal, but it does bother me enough that I'd like it to just show the Ram when I start the truck.

It's going to Dominic today to update the mileage and hours.

Any ideas?

Once it is in permanently, a couple of complete key cycles will probably straighten it out.

agreed with above. a lot of times these components reset to a factory default when they're updated. for example, for the first few ignition cycles after a software update, the 8.4AN in my 2016 charger would read with a Chrysler 300 logo and have a blue theme to it instead of a gray theme for dodge. 2 or 3 cycles and it was back to dodge, never saw a Chrysler logo again.

Thanks guys. The first one I had in I've been running for over a thousand miles and a lot of key cycles and it never updated. It works fine, just shows Power Wagon and has that goofy ticking for 2-3 seconds before I start the truck.

Did the cluster come out of a Power Wagon? I thought there are different clusters based on motors? How could a 3.6. 5.7 or a 6.4 use the same RPM range?

Are you sure they are compatible? I would think the 3.6l would have a higher rpm Tach. PURE guess, just trying to help. I did the upgrade on mine as well but 5.7l

Yeah, everything works fine, straight plug & play. Wondering if it's just something with a 2017 Express making it say Power Wagon. I have a '17 Express 3.6 and Guido2112 has a '17 Express 5.7 and they both say Power Wagon with the 7" cluster. I even swapped in another 7" cluster and it reads the same thing. No issues with it, just odd.

I figured it it just originally came from a Power Wagon and is programed to say it. I wonder if it could be reprogramed like the milage can be. (I had mine updated to match my actual milage)

It works and looks great, much better than the original.
