New Owner, just found this site. These forums from actual owners are a wealth of info, thanks in advance. First RAM product after many Chevys. Have a 2017 RAM 1500 crew cab Laramie 4wd, 5.7 hemi, tonneau bed cover, spray in liner. Used with only 6700 miles. Ready for retirement trips. Impressed with roomy interior. Next step is to add Trailer brake controller and front tow hooks. Just ordered a tailgate assist online, pretty inexpensive.

Thanks, a metal flake type black. Looks good in the sun. Just came back from dealer quote on electric brake controller, $319 parts, $300 labor. ??? BTW, for those hauling longer stuff, boards, Atv, those DG tailgate supports are nice to keep the tailgate supported at an angle.

$300 labor?!! most of those are pretty much plug and play! wires already run, you just plug them into already available plugs, and then have to mount it, which should be included in the parts, in that little cuby hole. I certainly would do some google'n before paying that to have it installed!!

if at all possible please post a message as to what you think of the Dodge Ram and its performance etc. As you are aware you hear people on the street saying that Dodge is crap, or Ford is crap, or gM is crap and so on. personally I was amazed at the performance of the Ram as compared to other trucks although fuel consumption is a bit high or apparently such. Thanks for your input though!

1st tank of town driving, stop and go, display said 13.6 average. With wet roads it wanted to spin on turns or hill starts from dead stop, glad it has auto 4wd. Seems like it would be not good if only 2wd, like any other pickup. Have to get used to the hemi power.
