Hi there!

I have a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel quad cab 4x4 with a strange issue that started about 3 weeks ago. Anytime I hit a bump in the road, both my AM/FM radio and my XM Radio randomly change stations. It happens all over town and becoming a pretty regular occurrence. It does NOT happen when I'm listening to my iPhone tunes connected via bluetooth.

I'm taking it to the dealership on Wednesday, but wanted to ask around to see if y'all had encountered this before.

Thanks in advance for your help!

My guess is that there’s an issue with the knob for tuning. Something is either loose or broken that causes it to register movement when you hit a bump.

Thanks, Tom. Would that hold true if I have the factory touchscreen display?

Thanks,

I had a similar problem, that once in a while my radio station would change randomly.... There was a 8.4 radio update for my 2014 that I installed that took care of the problem. Check to see if you have any radio updates available.... assume you have the 8.4 touch screen radio.

I had similar issue with my 15 and it turned out to be the steering wheel switches. One had an internal short, swapped it and all is good.

Steering wheel switches stuck. Make sure they move freely. Can clean with some electric contact cleaner. Make sure to protect all areas near the switches prior to cleaning them.
