Mine was doing the same. A little WD40 did the trick.

basically, about once a year i do all doors and tailgate, gotta think about all the moisture that gets in there and crud buildup, the penetrating oil gets in there and smooths it out

What's better than wd40. I heard it causes rust and that's a big nono for me.

Do you guys think either of these would be safe to use for washing long reach areas of the truck like the roof and hood? fd962d6b9692d1a37efe9a9034451ddf.jpg

Did you have a leak is that how you knew internally or you can see it on the outside

I had a good leak from the bottom front of the driver's side head and a small leak on the passenger's side. When I pulled the drain plug from the oil pan more than a gallon of coolant came out lol.

I started it up today and took it for a couple test drives. Forgot to clamp the heater hoses to the water pump and one popped off when I got back from test drive #1. Smelled burning oil when I got back from test drive #2 and found a leaking valve cover gasket. Other than that so far so good. :)

This is correct lol, it's designed for forcing water out or off of things thus preventing corrosion. For example dirt bike chains after a wash, you can spray them down with wd40 and it pushes the water out of the links, then wipe it off and then you can relube your chain without locking in moisture

I bought the WD with the Flex tube. I also got the long orange microfiber thing to wash the roof and the hood with.
