Hey everyone, so I recently upgraded my lights, to HID headlights and LED fog lights for my 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 sport. I am now looking at light bars, anyone have any installed or recommend a good light bar with a lot of light output? If you have pictures or links please post! Thank you!!

Went out to try to take pic of light on... ya,, didn't work very well... but hey give you an idea of what black oak on, high beam on, and low beam with fog lights on differences any way. Black oak is hard to beat price wise for quality, in my opinion are as good as ridgid if not better.IMAG4343.jpg IMAG4351.jpg

Do you want just the light bar or bull bars and a light bar? I am leaning towards bull bars with built in lights but it a ways down the mods list still!

I've had a 20" LED bar sitting in my garage uninstalled for 2 years now. I meant to put it on my last truck but never did. When I got my Ram and saw the bumper with the space between the tow hooks, I said to myself... "That's where the bar is going!" Mine, however, is a dual row and is 3.1" tall. It won't fit that snuggly into the space. I might have to look into a single row bar like this.

JB!, how did you install the lightbar? It looks like you have tow hooks. I have the Laramie package with tow hooks on my 09 and the opening is not tall enough for a dual

I have the same issue. My larime has the chrome bumper so I dont have lightbar space across it. I wish there was a raised bracket setup off the towhooks but I cant seem to find one.

License plate bracket, 20" bar

View attachment 118690

I like the license plate route you took, I wanted a larger one installed in between my tow hooks, I have the limited model with chrome bumper so the opening isn’t long like a sport.

That bracket is OEM installed at the dealer

This not my truck but it has the same front license plate bracket which actually sits lower than your and into the channel where you mounted your light bar. I wonder if I can get a sport bracket and have it air higher like yours this allowing me to mount a bar there.

They are different heights because the bumpers are also completely different.

If you're looking to mount the plate higher on your bumper (top half body/lower section chrome), remove the bracket as it stands and see if you can drill new holes into the bracket to retain use of the mount's holes. Do you follow? The red dots below would be where the mount attaches to the bumper itself.
