Other issues since the update that haven't had a reply yet ...

User profiles (viewed w/Tapatalk)
- ** can't see member's truck info anymore (ie year/model) **

- can't correctly see "started threads" anymore. (Looks like participated threads for both/ getting a bunch of other threads).

Conversations/messages (via Tapatalk)
- Can't add other members to current conversations, ie I previously was able to copy DeereGuy on M² Mods related messages from other members but can't add anyone on the new sw.
I wanted to give a bump to these questions.

Edit: Viewing a members profile via PC browser i can see users vehicle info, and if you go to the "information" tab you can get a valid link to "Content created by" which shows the old "started threads" info correctly.

Seems like there are some issues with the Tapatalk site plug-in with the new software? Would love to get some feedback.

Where is the "search within this thread" function? I hate to search the whole site, or section when all I really want is to search the thread I might be in.

Just back to the pictures again for a minute, I'm on a number of other forums on tapatalk, and I'm able to see ALL the photos on those forums.

I only have a problem here on Ram Forum where I can't see at least 1/2 the pics.

So let me clarify your post, RLK.

When you say you can't quote anyone nor PM someone but you can get and respond to PMs with a different format or the PM is displayed but you can't respond. Are those conditions experienced when you are using Tapatalk?
Sorry it took so long for me to respond Sir !

Just to be clear I am only on Tapatalk. Never even seen this Forum on a PC .

Well as you can see I can quote folks post now ! Yippy [emoji16]
Also , I can send and receive PM's now normal format . I just noticed this yesterday .

I still can not edit the OP in my older threads ?
I still can not see any members ( including my own ) profile info as far as Ram year , engine type ...?
I still can not find my own threads while looking at my profile and selecting " started by". What I get is a giant list of threads I've posted in ....within this giant list I will eventually find threads I've started ??
This issue also exist when I'm viewing others profile , as their " started by " is also just a big list of threads they have commented in as well .

Hope this feedback helps .

Looks like they just fixed the "started by" info with Tapatalk! Woohoo! That's a big one for me!

Hopefully we can the rest of user profile/truck data back and ability to edit for everyone.

Why does the forum section only use the left half of the page and the recent threads and vendors and members active on the forum appear on the other half of the page. This has happened a couple times--sometimes the forum section is full page and sometimes it is only half.

I think I figured it out---if I have the "zoom" set a 110 I get the 1/2 page thing, if I set the "zoom" at 125 it goes back to full page. I know that isn't in very technical terms but that's all I got. Thanks for answering so fast. Im on my Dell laptop.
Thanks
Jay

WOW!
I can now add others to my conversations in Tapatalk! Thanks guys.

That just leaves the ability to see member's truck info via their profile on Tapatalk.

Can't reply to PM's suddenly via Tapatalk. Says incorrect login or don't have permission?

Anyone else?
(Posting here as a test also)

Edit: just tried from phone's browser and can't see a reply button either.

Edit 2: I can apparently reply to others, just not scolesdadSixty . I wouldn't think it's because he had no posts yet since he wouldn't be the first person I have had messages/convo's with that joined the forum to contact us for an order.

Since it's been awhile since the site software got updated, is there any chance we can loosen the the permissions for regular people to edit their own OP/posts or tie it to a specific number of posts or even a user level like supporting member?

There are several active threads that still require regular edits/updates to keep the info up to date in the original posts for various reasons (broken links to parts, updated PNs, instructions, Photobucket disaster, etc).

Here's a recent example ...

I am attempting to edit the original post to fix some of the image links but it doesn't seem to want to let me edit the post?
http://www.ramforum.com/index.php?posts/872056

I'm still able to edit my own vendor threads/posts, but others can't for some of the more detailed electrical mods. No one wants to have needed info spread out over 300-1000 posts vs the first few posts whenever possible. (It used to be a major benefit of this site over the 'z' forum.)

When I click on the small box in upper right side of photo, my drop down box doesn't have the delete, or approval boxes, just the other action drop down box. I cannot delete old photo album, or any individual photo.

This is what my choices are as to deleting any photo, or album.

Thanks for posting that up. Now what do you see when you click on the "Other Actions" down arrow at the right?

end of drop down list.
I can't take a screenshot due to the drop down closes when I make the attempt.

Haven't heard back about the permissions for editing OP's... Any chance of loosening this a bit?

Here's another reason/example to allow this even if it's after a minimum number of posts, member level, etc.
These kinds of configuration/ modification threads require constant updates as we iron out details...
